Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Maintenance Teams perform repairs and preventive maintenance to ensure longer lifespan of machines and facilities. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

To repair and maintain all company plant as directed by the Maintenance Leader and to assist with the upkeep of general building services. The post holder is expected to be flexible in a demanding position there will be times when this role will require overtime working at short notice.

Tasks Summary and Responsibilities
• To carry out day to day preventative and reactive maintenance, on a variety of machinery and equipment in order to ensure general Safety & Environmental compliance of the buildings and plant.
• To complete work instructions.
• Develop the TPM system for key items of plant in conjunction with the maintenance planner.
• Carry out proactive and reactive maintenance on a variety of equipment.
• To assist in the installation of new plant & machinery as directed by the Facilities Leader.
• To ensure that all plant and machinery is always maintained and left in a safe condition.
• To co-operate readily on the development & implementation of autonomous maintenance.
• To observe Health & Safety regulations as laid down in company procedures and Government legislation.
• To assist in departmental re-organisations as and when required.
• To complete training programmes as requested by the company.
• To carry out site external maintenance as instructed.
• To carry out Pneumatic Installation and Maintenance.
• To carry out Fabrication tasks as required.
• To carry out any other reasonable task as the company requires from time to time.

What your background should look like:

  • Good all-round general appreciation of plant and building services is expected.
  • Good hand-skills, Polite helpful nature.
  • Ability to read mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic engineering drawings. Ability to logically fault find on manufacturing equipment. Good understanding of pneumatics & hydraulics experience
  • Previous experience in a similar roll or Facilities position experience
