Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Quality Control and Reliability Teams ensure product and / or product components comply with specifications and quality standards. They test and inspect products against performance and integrity criteria to ensure product quality and reliability, and to determine the suitability of product release.

Primary Purpose:
To manage and support the various Quality teams' KPIs and Processes in support of Customer Service and Zero Defect.

Job Responsibilities
• Performs inspections of materials, sub-assemblies, purchased parts or finished products according to inspection plans using standard physical, mechanical and/or electrical measurement equipment.

• Perform Source Inspection activities, ensuring documentation supplied with parts conforms with the appropriate requirements.
• Record inspection and test results in traceable manner in a database or other internal programs.
• Creates or assists in creating / updating of inspection plans, test procedures, SOPs for the incoming inspection function.
• Assist Incoming Quality Engineer with the Supplier MRB (Material Review Board) process.
• Contributing to and sustaining the department's 5S objectives.
• Assisting with other Quality Department activities as required.
• Observing Health and Safety regulations as laid down by company procedures and Government legislation.
• Carry out any other reasonable tasks as may be requested.

What your background should look like:
• Technical skills and demonstrated experience in quality assignments: ability to read drawings to BS8888 (BS308) std. and specification documents, usage of measurements and test equipment.
• Technical Education or practice in industrial / automotive area in similar position would be an advantage.
• A good understanding of Technical English and good communication skills.
• Must have a desire and willingness to learn and bring a "can-do" attitude to the role.
• Experience using SAP is beneficial but not essential as relevant role-specific training will be provided.
