Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Environmental Health & Safety Teams ensure and monitor safety in the workplace. This includes the application and communication of health, safety and hazardous material standards, procedures and practices consistent with TE, environmental and government regulations. Reporting to the environmental, health and safety (EHS) manger, you will provide environmental, health and safety guidance to our facilities teams located in Harrisburg, PA and Northborough MA.

TE Connectivity's Environmental Health & Safety teams ensure and monitor safety in the workplace. This includes the application and communication of health, safety and hazardous material standards, procedures, and practices consistent with TE, environmental and government regulations.

What your background should look like:

Safety and Security:

Implementing measures to protect occupants, assets, and information, including access control systems, fire safety, and emergency preparedness. Measures must follow Federal, State, Local, or TE internal (policies) guidance and may include but are not limited to:
Machine guarding (sourcing & installation)
Safety Signage (sourcing and installation)
PPE management (sourcing)
Electrical Safety & Control of Hazardous Energy assessment
Emergency preparedness
Fall protection as per OSHA guidelines
Working from Heights and Contractor Safety Management

Environmental Sustainability:

Implementing green practices and technologies to reduce the environmental impact of facilities. Practices must follow Federal, State, Local, or TE internal (policies) guidance and may include but are not limited to:
Waste handling
Environmental Signage (sourcing and installation)
Environmental monitoring (emissions, wastewater discharge, etc.)

Coordination with Global Facility Management:
Serve as the main point of contact for DDN in coordinating facility needs with global facility management team
Ensure that global facility team is aware of DDN specific requirements and that these are addressed
Report facilities related issues, upgrades and repairs for DDN operations to global facility team and work with them on prioritization.
Support immediate reporting officer in all strategically and new developmental activities.

Incident and Risk Management:
Support the EHS team in investigating facility related incidents or near-misses
Coordinate with the global facility team to implement measures that reduce risks associated with facility operation
Assist with any audits or inspection

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in occupational health & safety, industrial hygiene, or Environmental Science. Professional certifications a plus (e.g., CSP, CIH, CMM, MESH)
• Minimum 5 years of EH&S experience required, preferably in a manufacturing facility or EHS consulting
• Background in a fast-paced environment, simultaneously working on multiple projects that may involve multiple stakeholders
• Strong knowledge and understanding of local, state, and federal environmental, health and safety rules and regulations
• Strong demonstrated communication, negotiation, influencing, collaboration and team-building skills preferred with the ability to develop multiple solutions to an issue and make valid recommendations for resolution
• Interest in personal and professional growth
• Self-driven and able to manage multiple and changing priorities with little direction and supervision

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $59,000 - $75,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
