The Distributor Market Manager (DMM) is responsible for growing TE Sales and Market Share through our Distribution Channel Partners in UK and Ireland. This is accomplished through smart utilization and prioritization of TE Channel, TE Business Unit, and distributor resources.

Job Responsabilities and Tasks

  • Engaging in the sale of the company's products or services within the field through our network of distributor branches.
  • Communicating with distributors and potential customers, providing them technical and administrative details about products, and potentially conducting demonstrations.
  • Attaining set POS targets on a regional, country, territory, or branch level.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for all TE products, ensuring a cohesive and seamless interaction with distributors.
  • Growing / Enhancing TE Connectivity's market share
  • Supervising the implementation of distributor corporate plans at the branch level:
    • Setting priorities based on market significance.
    • Aligning local business plans and the objectives / priorities with the distributor Sales Managers and General Managers.
    • Conducting thorough market business reviews, driving responsibility.
  • Executing Competitive Analysis:
    • Marketing TAM/DTAMs
    • Competitors' go-to-market strategies and resources
  • Regularly checking the distributor branch opportunity pipeline through regular and systematic follow-ups on quotations with Distributors and TE Sales Engineers.
  • Managing distributor-related business processes, including Cooperative Advertising (Coop) programs, POS reporting / matching
  • Managing the retention and growth of the TAM to DTAM accounts
  • Coaching and developing the distributor business resources to utilize self-service tools
  • Coordinating training plans across the entire TE product range, encompassing both TELC and face-to-face sessions.
  • Serving as the local point of contact for all TE Business Unit (BU) sales teams to ensure consistent execution of TE plans and initiatives.
  • Supervising the Design Registration Program and the overall branch opportunity pipeline.
  • Gaining insight into the distributor's strategic plan to facilitate better alignment with key TE initiatives.

What your background should look like:

  • Bachelor's degree in either business or engineering, 5+ years of experience in sales management.
  • Extensive familiarity with the electronics components and systems industry
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and effective communication skills, with the capacity to deliver formal presentations to senior management teams
  • Essential proficiency in negotiation, extending to interactions with executives at all tiers of an organization.
  • Self-motivated individual capable of assessing market requirements and achieving notable outcomes throughout the sales processes
  • Inherent ability to cultivate robust professional relationships and foster collaboration across multiple functions, including Business Unit Management, Product Management, and Marketing.
  • Exhibit strong results-orientation and execution characteristics
  • Display a proven track record of forging excellent relationships
  • Strong work ethic - willingness to roll up the sleeves and do the work as part of a team.
