The Role
The Director, Product Management Leadership and Learning Lead will drive an enterprise strategy focused on all facets of how we develop and advance product managers at TE Connectivity. Working with our Product Management (PM) Network of functional leaders, the ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, execution, and maintenance of a product management learning strategy and it's implementation, in coordination with our Global Talent Management team.

Additionally, this individual will partner with the PM Network on talent assessments, succession planning and talent movement discussions.

This role will be a trusted partner, subject matter expert and resource to the senior executives and the businesses. Ideally this candidate will have experience working as a product manager or similar role having led Product Management teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ownership of the Product Management Development Framework and Strategy, including targeted programs for our PM Talent across the enterprise
  • Able to create excitement around Talent development, competency progression and readiness for career growth in product management.
  • Lead the implementation & Deployment of Targeted Programs for PM Talent with a robust process for tracking success, ensuring program objectives are met
  • Establish trust with all stakeholders to influence strategic outcomes of talent management practices at both the business and the enterprise levels
  • Partner with the PM Network to manage/facilitate talent visibility and succession planning discussions as well as performance management processes at the enterprise level
  • Assess succession bench strength/gaps, identify capability needs and source strategies (buy/build/borrow); socialize approaches with Recruiting/Staffing.
  • Take lead in elevating internal talent mobility through a digital marketplace system to increase skill visibility, career planning, internal talent movement, personalized learning and mentoring/coaching
  • Deeply understand current talent landscape across enterprise for product management and potential PM talent in other functions; create efforts to build overall pipeline including partnership with Global Talent Acquisition
  • Coach and mentor the product management community, typically, talent participating in development programs and motivated to build competencies through exposure and experiences.

What your background should look like

  • Combination of 10+ years' experience leading or working with the product management function and talent management;
  • A track record of stellar facilitation and influence of senior executives and management globally to ensure strategic impact in either product management or talent management.
  • Strategic thinking, leadership presence and capability in organizational effectiveness (talent planning, performance management, succession planning, and change management)
  • Proven leader driving an improvement culture and change.
  • Can effectively manage global and complex change and shift gears comfortably; highly effective in ambiguous environments and able to produce maximum results with little direction and guidance.
  • Superior collaborative working abilities and experience; ability to manage multiple complex assignments, with proven ability to assess competing priorities in a high energy, fast paced environment in a geographically dispersed organization.
  • Exceptional decision-making and problem-solving skills; proven research skills to gather data best practices, and points of view to ensure sound judgment.
  • Interpret and analyze HR and business metrics and trends as related to organizational effectiveness; build internal executive network to shape and define future PM talent practices based on analytics.
  • Bonus experience in learning and development program development & implementation

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $ 187,400 - 281,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
