The Role

The Director of Operations Strategy plays a crucial role in driving the growth and success of the Medical Business Unit at TE Connectivity. As a key member of the global operations team, this role will report to the VP of Operations. The Director of Operations Strategy will be responsible for devising and implementing strategic initiatives to optimize operations, drive efficiency across the organization and enable growth. Key areas of focus will be on business transformation; footprint strategy, product transfer execution, digital strategy and operations engineering / automation roadmap. This role will closely collaborate with the global Medical business and engineering leaders to develop and implement operational strategies that align with the organization's overall business objectives. This role requires strong analytical, problem-solving, transformational and innovative thinking as well as core leadership skills, supported by a deep understanding of operations management principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with business partners, fostering collaboration and teamwork.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance productivity, efficiency, and enable growth such as but not limited to automation, digital, footprint and transformation.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices related to operations management, and recommend innovative strategies to drive continuous improvement.
  • Support development of robust strategic plans for Medical Business Unit
  • Lead the equipment and process engineering organization and set the strategic direction for equipment and process development standardization globally across operations and new product development
  • Provides input and direction into strategic plans, goals, objectives and budget as impacted organizational objectives and goals
  • Execution of transfer projects as established by the footprint strategy
  • Partner with corporate functions including but not limited to engineering, automation and operations strategy
  • Demonstrating leadership and commitment in administering TE Connectivity's values.
  • Execute on 'requested' special projects that require the skill and leadership to be successful.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • At least 10 years' experience in manufacturing, with proven track record of success in plant operations management, preferably in medical industry
  • Experience in strategic planning and executing initiatives to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Proven leader who can get results in a competitive, complex and dynamic business environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate critical discussions
  • Organized, highly motivated, agile with proven ability to work independently and in team setting
  • Ability to manage ambiguity in a matrix organization amongst multiple projects and competing priorities
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate complex data and make strategic decisions.
  • Ability to develop direct reports and team members in a way that prepares them for future career growth
  • Proven experience in leading large cross functional site transformations.
  • Solid expertise in project management and strong business acumen and organization skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.
  • Excellent influencing, interpersonal skills and managerial courage.

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $200,800.00 - $301,200.00 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
