Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Sales & Marketing Support Teams assist with implementing sales/marketing initiatives by providing technical and/or product information support (i.e., data analysis, tracking, etc.). They are also responsible for planning and coordinating promotional programs and other communications initiatives.

The Demand Management Specialist / Manager of Japan Auto Sales Operation is responsible for Japan Auto forecasting activities associated with Sales, PMs and operation team. The position creates and maintains forecast models and incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, customers, product management and other sources to support Japan Auto BU forecast.

- Develop demand forecasts for key customers and key focus product lines to support Japan Auto sales forecast and supply to meet customer demands.
- Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data and evaluate accuracy of forecast results.
- Co-ordinate cross-functional activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales or customer input.
- Support sales for capacity checking & analysis to reflect in demand forecast to support production invest plan preparation.
- Interact with PM leaders to understand forecast drivers, gain consensus and align forecast model to finance guidance projections.
- Monitor demand plan versus actual results on monthly basis, perform root cause analysis and drive improvement activities.
- Input and maintain information in the demand planning software, use as the primary forecasting system tool and comply with established timeframes to support the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
- Provide input and preparation of data used for the supply planning consensus meetings.
- Monitor/analyze Key customers SA behavior to improve SA forecasting accuracy. Monitor/analyze Key products trends to avoid EOP/ High inventory risk.
- Design material planning proposal (such as safety stock) to PM/Sales base on product business and production features.

Required:
- Bachelor's Degree or above.
- Over 3 years working experience in planning related functions.
- Working knowledge of Automotive Ind/manufacturing/supply chain/planning operations.
- Good at analysis tools or application.
- Fluent Japanese and Intermediate English (Chinese skill would be good plus).
- Flexibility to support global collaboration

Preferred:
- Demand management experience in Automotive industry.
- Experience with SAP, IBP or SOM forecast software.
- Good at TED Database/ PowerBI/ Tableau etc.
