Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Continuous Improvement Teams design and implement programs and projects to improve products, services, or processes aligned with business strategies. They coach teams; establish program performance metrics; and establish process excellence supports.

The Continuous Improvement Manager will bring together the existing site structures and resources, develop and lead a multiyear strategic roadmap to deliver on business objectives associated with Continuous Improvement and Net Productivity improvement. This role reports to the Plant Manager for our site in Fuquay-Varina, NC within the Energy business unit, under the Industrial Solutions segment.

The CI Manager will apply Lean knowledge in all operations areas, such as production, quality, material, maintenance, environment, safety, and special focus to core conversion productivity and others to address improvements in the operations metrics for the network.

Responsibilities & Qualifications:
• In association with the Site Leadership Team, develop a multiyear roadmap that identifies key programs that will enable delivery site specific overall metrics and specifically net productivity objectives
• Ensure a process is in place that regularly updates and refreshes the overall roadmap which can be utilized in quarterly forecasting, annual planning and multi-year strategic planning processes.
• Engage plant leadership on the overall business and site journey and utilize change management to gain acceptance of overall strategy.
• Implement standard structures for execution and reporting that drives continuous cost reductions.
• Work closely with all functions to ensure robust problem solving and continuous improvement techniques are in use, by teaching, coaching and personally demonstrating them him/herself.
• Support site to develop a strong, results-driven team that executes on key improvement programs with a culture of accountability that becomes embedded in the organization.
• Actively contribute to the professional growth of employees, identifying key players, proposing actions aimed at motivating key employees. Develop talents and future leaders.
• Drive a culture of creativity, speed, efficiency, innovation, and continuous learning in the organization.
• Engage with the regional operations leader to ensure standardization of process and approach across the BU network.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations as well as all TE policies and procedures

What your background should look like:

• Primary degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 8 years' experience in an advanced manufacturing company, with progressive levels of responsibility.
• Previous experience leading large scale continuous improvement programs.
• Strong background in Lean practices, experience in using value stream mapping and implementing lean tools, such as: 5S+1, Visual Factory, Standard Work, Quick Changeover, Material Replenishment & Flow, and TPM essential.
• Experience of site performance transformation.
• Strong team leader and talent developer.
• Ability to think strategically and execute tactically to deliver results.
• Analytically minded and data-driven to have a holistic overview of complex situations.
• Ability to adapt to work priorities in response to a rapidly changing environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Strong financial and analytical skills.
• Strong technical knowledge.

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $107,920 - $161,880 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
