Job Overview

The Aerospace and Defense (A&D) business unit at TE Connectivity has an opportunity for a Business Development Engineer & Systems Architect in the US to support Rugged Fiber Optics (RFO) in North America. The right candidate will work intimately with customer to recommend products and solutions for new and existing applications. Identifies new applications, requirements, modifications and enhancements to meet customer specifications. Responsible for all technical aspects of sales cycle for potential application of products to meet customer needs, including identifying opportunities; determining solutions; creating demand; preparing detailed product specifications and technical marketing support; ensuring high quality and timely project execution and conducting follow-up technical support.

What your background should look like:

Education:

  • 4-year technical or business degree required
  • Advanced degree experience preferred

Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in a combination of business, sales, and engineering
  • Aerospace & Defense market knowledge preferred; US ITAR clearance required
  • Fiber Optics product knowledge required
  • Strong organizational skills, and a strong sense of personal commitment to growth/business success
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to simplify complex concepts
  • Result-oriented way of working

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $129,600 - 194,400 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
