Job Overview

Our TE Connectivity's Supplier Quality team is pro-actively involved into APQP (TE Lean PD) projects and new supplier development activities after supplier system set-up (SSU) is approved and before serial start of production. Assure proper supplier APQP process through early involvement of suppliers and projects. Significant part of the interaction with the suppliers, product engineering and process evaluation team is to check and approve the supplier PPAP documentation and give the final production approval.

• Involvement in Pre-Request for quote risk evaluation and supplier selection
• Drive supplier development activities including audit gap closure steps, mainly located in North Africa
• Check of feasibility commitments related to production process and product
• Check of Supplier PPAP/EMPB documentation based on TE requirements mainly the product drawing -
and specific customer requirements
• Follow the APQP progress with statue reports.
• Manage the Run & Rate, capacity audit for high, medium risk components.
• Train the suppliers and make sure that the defined standards are properly applied (APQP/PPAP)
• Use Lesson Learned from prior projects.
• Ensure that 100 % of S/R characteristics of the parts are validated during the development phase
• Coordinate with SQE the process release & Safe lunch implementation and efficiency.
• Managing the supplier complaints & 8D report in the pre-serial phases
• Archive supplier document approvals (System upload) and submission to the relevant departments
• Create a regular status report on PPAP requests and their processing status
• Pilot the improvement projects at suppliers (lean process)
• Drive and pilot the sustainability project and road map according to TE target

What your background should look like:

- Engineering degree preferred (Mechanical or Electrical)
- 3+ years of relevant experience in the automotive industry
- Strong experience with automotive quality tools and standards (TS 16949, AIAG, VDA)
- Experience with AIAG-Manual 4th Edition (PPAP) and VDA Edition II (PPF)
- Good knowledge of statistics (SPC, MSA) is a plus
- Proficiency in FMEA and Control Plan development/improvement (quality planning)
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and guidelines
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes (molding, stamping, assembly, welding)
- Experience in customer and supplier relationship management (desirable)
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and basic SAP skills
- Self-driven, hands-on, and goal-oriented approach
- Strong team player with high social competence
- Supplier and customer-focused, with an international mindset
- Fluent English skills (mandatory)
- Coaching and mentoring skills (preferred)
- Knowledge of advanced quality elements (Lean PD, APQP, Safe Launch)
- Project management experience (preferred)
- Advanced problem-solving skills (Black Belt, Shainin)
