Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Maintenance Team, supporting our Wire and Cable and Materials Manufacturing Facilities as part of a dedicated team with Electrical and Mechanical skill sets. The Maintenance Team is a vital part of our Production Facility, ensuring that the equipment is serviced to schedule and that breakdowns are resolved quickly. This role would suit either a Maintenance Planner or a qualified Maintenance Technician who would like to expand their capability and experience some of the other disciplines that keep the Maintenance Team operating efficiently.

Responsibilities
• Oversee the scheduling of services in our Wire and Cable and Materials facilities, liaising with the Manufacturing and Planning Teams.
• Administrate the CMMS scheduling and inventory systems.
• React to unscheduled problems with equipment, purchasing spares or coordinating vendor visits to resolve.
• Monitor, identify and implement improvements within the Maintenance Stores.
• Identification and ordering of all routine and emergency spares.
• Will need to switch from one facility to another and back again as and when priorities dictate.
• Attend Tier 3 meetings to liaise with the Production Teams on what priorities we need to focus on.
• Support Health and Safety concerns raised by our Production Teams.
• Co-Ordinate all Fork Truck repairs and vendor liaison, taking over administration of the I-Site software.
• Interface between our Maintenance, Facilities and Process Departments.
• Support a Continuous Improvement culture in line with our TEOA program.
• Work independently, with minimal supervision.

What your background should look like:

Skills and Experience
Essential Criteria
• Proven experience of working within a range of different Production environments.
• Flexibility to switch between different departments and different areas that need different disciplines.
• PC Literate for all Office Applications, with experience of a CMMS package (SAP and Maximo would be advantageous).
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• A technical understanding of the spares we need and the ability to answer supplier questions.

Desired Criteria
• Demonstrated experience in a Maintenance Co-ordinator or Planner role
• An approved Maintenance Apprenticeship or 5 years' experience on electro-mechanical equipment would be an advantage.
• An understanding of the equipment we have on site would be an advantage.
