Job Overview

This position will report to the R2R Process Delivery Supervisor and act as a member of the R2R team focused on Financial Reporting, General Accounting, Treasury related processes, Intercompany Accounting, Month End Close processes, Fixed Assets, External reporting. The scope complexity is designed to be varied adequately focused on E2E processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a solid support for R2R related topics, develop skills & knowledge of R2R Junior Accountant
  • Back-up and support Junior/Senior Accountants/Senior/SME
  • Perform general ledger accounting including accounts reconciliations, journal entries, fixed assets processes, treasury related activities, intercompany transactions and any other tasks in accordance with Global Process Design book.
  • Complete required close activities incl. journal entry posting preparation
  • Execute accounts reconciliation with focus on financial risk identification and follow-up. Review and approve accounts reconciliation (non-complex) with focus on financial risk validation
  • Prepare Trial Balance and perform all related validation checks
  • Complete period-end-close activities according to the established calendar including financial reporting package in HFM (financial statement and supplementals)
  • Support new migration of R2R processes
  • Support in Business Continuity Plan (BCP) to safeguard all critical activities
  • Update desktop procedures as per cadence
  • Liaise with auditors and tax advisors coordinating the supply of information and responses to queries, taking part in process walkthroughs
  • Ensure robust compliance environment with applicable policies, procedures and processes as per SOX requirements and respective local statutory regulations
  • Execute Control Self-Assessment (CSA) activities with execution/ review of internal controls framework
  • Ensure all performance metrics are regularly fulfilled as per targets with adherence to the internal deadlines
  • Build and manage strong relationship with key stakeholders as per TE values standard
  • Lead or support on operational calls with BUs as per CRM framework as well as supporting other team members supporting R2R Team Leader in deck preparation on Performance Review meetings
  • Identify and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the R2R function as per TEOA-F taking part actively in process standardization projects/leading projects or in global R2R Sub-Process Teams
  • Other ad hoc tasks as determined by the Team leader or Manager

What your background should look like:

  • Education - Undergraduate degree in Finance / Accounting
  • Experience - 2+ years of experience in a financial shared service center supporting multiple countries / business units in General Ledger area
  • Diversified Industrial Products/Manufacturing industry experience preferred
  • Prior experience in R2R functions in a shared services environment
  • Ability to work in culturally diverse teams with many levels of personnel
  • Experience with ERPs
  • Strong analytical skills. Ability to identify and resolve problems
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Detailed orientation and self-discipline skills
  • Excellent in English
