Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Account Management Teams are responsible for selling TE's products, systems or services, providing detailed technical product information and maintaining relationships with customers in assigned geographic territory, industry or accounts.

Responsible for sales in Distributors, Contractors and Utilities markets, selling all TE Product Lines for Cable Accessories, Connectors, Products for the Asset Protection of Distribution Networks, Smart Grid, Substation and Transmission Networks, developing new customers and actively looking for new opportunities.

Key tasks of the job:

• To prepare and meeting Sales Forecast and Key Metrics.
• To develop and understanding the position of the customers in the market, their product, points of difference and competitive landscape.
• To generate demand identifying opportunities within assigned territory by specifying TE products carrying out Trainings, Technical Presentations and Seminars, etc.
• To establish and building strong working relationships with customers stakeholders.
• To Prepare Commercial Bids/Tenders, to negotiate contracts and close agreements maximizing profits. For the Product Definition working together with the BDM, PM's, Product Specialists and application Engineers. defining the technical solutions in accordance with customer and product specifications.
• To follow up to the contracts, Purchase Orders working together with Customer Care, Operation and finance areas.

Qualifications & specialist training required:

• Degree: Electrical Engineer with BA/BS/MBA in Sales/ Marketing Management
• Foreign Language: English proficiency (Speaking and writing)
• Skills: Capable to give technical and sales presentations / excellent communication, Sales Acumen. Must be capable to specify products and discuss technically with the customer applications.
• Potential to grow in the organization in the future Regional Sales Manager.

Experience required:

• Experience: Overall experience not less than 6 years as Sales Engineer, managing key accounts, selling electrical products in Distribution Channels, Electrical Contractors and Utilities.

Skill / aptitude required:

• Proven work experience as Key Account Manager
• Solid experience with Salesforce software.
• Excellent Negotiation and Written and Verbal Communication Skills (Listening / Speaking)
• Friendly behaviour, having power of persuasion and ability to assert himself.
• Being willing to travel inland and abroad.
• Product and Industry knowledge
• Self motivated and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Straight forward, personable, active.
• Leadership.
• Desire to work in a growth-oriented environment.

Additional Information:

• Successful candidate will need to travel extensively in region. Frequency could be as high as 60% of the time travelling. It is mandatory to be located in Bogotá.
