Job Overview

TE Connectivity is seeking an Inside Sales Specialist (ISS) for the Automotive Division in North America, reporting to the Inside Sales Manager. This is a remote role, candidate will need to reside in or near Troy, MI, and will focus on selling TE products and managing relationships with Tier 2/3 suppliers and distributors.

As an Inside Sales Specialist, you'll act as the primary point of contact for customers, aligning their needs with TE's product offerings. You'll provide detailed technical information, deliver exceptional customer service, and ensure a smooth and efficient experience for our clients. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about customer care and technical solutions who want to work with a global leader in connectivity.

A Day in the Life

  • Delivering an extraordinary customer experience by technically advising customers on TE products, services, and capabilities to best meet the needs of the customer.
  • Outbound calling (cold and warm) to establish new, high-quality opportunities with prospective customers and contacts.
  • Growing and nurturing customer relationships on every interaction that results in measurable Customer value to drive Sales.
  • Involved in Customer interactions, including receiving PO's, supporting delivery and Customer Care team members, verifying capacity checks, and other program requirements.
  • Responding to customer with technical specifications to meet their application needs.
  • Negotiate customer terms and conditions.
  • Drive sales growth through maximization of resources and execution of market segment strategies.
  • Nurturing short to mid-term opportunities through regular touch points.
  • Leading qualification and follow-ups of inbound leads received through various sources (including company website, sample system, social media channels, events, and other sources).
  • Communicating via various channels such as telephone, email and chat with customers and internal support areas including production, sales, engineering, logistics, and others as necessary.
  • Liaising effectively with various internal business partners such as Engineering and Customer Care to resolve customer inquiries and requests.
  • Reacting positively to changing business conditions by proving to be flexible and adaptable.

What your background should look like:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Technical College Degree preferred (e.g. Engineering/ Business/ Marketing / Sales).
  • Willingness and technical aptitude to understand and communicate TE's product portfolio.
  • Maintaining a passion for building customer loyalty through exceptional listening, relationship building, and strong written and verbal communication.
  • Influencing, consulting, problem-solving, and demonstrating resourcefulness.
  • Demonstrating the ability to maintain progress on multiple tasks, set priorities, and manage time effectively.
  • Being a team player, critical thinker, self-motivator, and maintaining a proactive positive attitude.
  • Willingness to accept coaching to improve your service to customers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation and computer skills (i.e. PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Salesforce, and other internal tools).
  • Must be ambitious, exhibit strong results-orientation and execution characteristics.
  • Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and accomplish multiple conflicting tasks, make intelligent, timely decisions and solve problems independently.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required, including international travel.
  • Fluent English skills, oral and written.

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $66,900 - $100,300 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
