Job Overview

Background:
The Aerospace, Defense, & Marine (AD&M) Business Unit within TE is currently seeking a Account Manager based in Chicago or Detroit area. As a part of the Account Management Team, this role will be responsible for selling TE's products, systems, or services, providing detailed technical product information and maintaining relationships with customers in assigned geographic territory, industry, or accounts.

  • Territory that will be covered: MI, ILL, WISC, and Ohio

  • Create multiple strategic territory plans for Accounts and Key Accounts.
  • Research and develop the data for PAM, TAM, SAM will be utilized in developing a customer strategy.
  • Drive the development/creations of customer roadmaps and communicating through the organization. (using SFDC as platform)
  • Build customer partnerships by continually demonstrating a strong value proposition and ECE.
  • Identify competitive landscape and ability to perform competitive analysis.
  • Understand and communicate on overall market and technology that will influence near and long-term strategy.
  • Knowledge of smaller/emerging competing and complementary business and mitigate the risk
  • Collaborate with Sales Leaders in creating and executing a growth plan for near and long term
  • Communicate and influence growth plan to internal stakeholder

What your background should look like:

  • Technical Degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Sales Management experience
  • 5- 8 years of Experience with relevant products and or industry experience
  • Strong personal and influencing skills and the ability to build strong, credible relationships with multiple organization functions (internal and external)
  • Technical and commercial education/ experience e.g. Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering (specializing in electro-mechanics/ electronics), would be beneficial or relevant Industry Experience
  • A professional level of business acumen and good commercial understanding
  • Track record in business development and ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Clear thinker with the ability to execute on priorities
  • Project Management Experience - facilitating complex projects
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Flexibility and a willingness to travel
  • Self-driven with the ability to perform in a demanding environment
  • Strong communication, selling, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Target and results driven
  • Microsoft Office SAP experience
  • Due to ITAR regulations, US citizenship or US lawful permanent residency (green card) is required to apply for this position

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $93,100 - $139,700 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
