Global Operations Overview

Department Overview:
Corporate Lending Operations is part of Global Operations, with a team of over 80 experienced professionals who are dedicated to support bilateral and syndicated loans for TD Securities' high profile and high value corporate clients globally. We also administer foreign currency loans for Personal Credit, Private Banking as well as Commercial and Retail clients. Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Lending Operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for servicing a portfolio of Corporate Lending Clients
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of the Corporate Lending business and act as a subject matter expert. Develop and maintain working relationships with clients, as well as external and internal partners
- Provide loan servicing functions for high valued corporate and commercial clients, meeting all timelines, delivering excellent client service, managing risk while adhering to policies and procedures.
- Manage a portfolio of syndicated Corporate Client borrowing accounts as an Administrative Agent and liaise with participant lenders.
- Perform secondary checks/approvals, and review end of day transactions as one of the more experienced members of the team.
- Accountable for keeping portfolio current and accurate with no operational incidents; proactively review and analyze various daily, weekly, monthly reports to resolve discrepancy in a timely manner.
- Prioritize and manage own workload to meet requirements for service and productivity
- Escalate non-standard or high-risk transactions or other activities as deemed appropriate
- Protect the interests of the Bank by adhering to the operating standards and procedures
- Actively engaged in various initiatives, to contribute and foster a creative environment where innovative thinking is welcomed and supported.
- Assist in the development and implementation of operational improvements to streamline procedures and enhance customer service experience.
- Contribute to the success of the team by providing coverage and assisting whenever required.
- Lead by example as a member of ONE CLO to embrace collaboration within your own team and across the teams.
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a corporate lending operation environment where tight operational / financial controls are required.
- Have a strong record in managing relationship with high profile clients.
- Ability to read/review/understand Corporate Lending Credit Agreement terms.
- Solid experience in lending platform Loan IQ including building of new primary and secondary deals, facilities and outstanding drawings, repayments, interest, and fee payments is considered an asset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be self-motivated, strong team player; possess sharp analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite of products and Mainframe.
- Flexible with schedule as CLO services global clients and will require to work on some Canadian statutory holidays
Other Qualification/Skills/Experiences
- Client facing experience is an asset
- Experience in using LoanIQ is a strong asset.
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Commitment to operational and service excellence
- Experience reading legal documents is an asset
- University degree or equivalent in Business Management, Finance / Accounting designation is preferred.

Experience and/or Education
- Undergraduate degree/ college diploma
- 5+ years relevant experience and/or post-graduate degree and/or certifications
