TD Innovation Partners (TDIP) is a new full-service technology banking team providing bespoke, high-touch banking and financial services to address the unique challenges, opportunities and needs of technology entrepreneurs from ideation to IPO and beyond. This includes banking and lending products, to principal investments and private banking solutions.

The team collaborates with the most innovative technology and venture-backed companies in the Commercial National Accounts (CNA), Commercial Midmarket and Small Business Banking space, leveraging their industry knowledge and extensive deal structuring experience to offer a full suite of customized credit and cash management solutions to meet the complex needs of our clients.

This is an exciting opportunity with the TDIP group within CNA. You'll work alongside a team of experts that put together deals for clients with complex and diverse credit and deposit/cash management requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assisting Associate Directors with credit underwriting and due diligence for prospective and existing clients.
  • Partnering with Relationship Management on day-to-day client support, portfolio growth and business development activities.
  • Actively involved in monitoring and control processes for the portfolio to ensure the necessary processes are completed in a timely manner
  • Recommending credits to Associate Director/Director Capital Solutions and Commercial Credit Risk Management.
  • Engaging in client meetings with Relationship Manager and Capital Solutions to understand due diligence and make recommendations to internal and external decision makers.
  • Stay informed about market conditions and industry developments to contribute insights that enhance the bank's position in the technology sector.
  • Working and collaborating in a team environment and ensuring client expectations are met/exceeded.

Education/Accreditations:

An undergraduate or graduate degree in Business, Economics, Finance or other quantitative discipline. MBA, CPA or CFA would be an asset.

Other Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

  • Previous experience in Commercial Banking as an Analyst would be an asset.
  • Experience in the technology ecosystem will be advantageous.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Very solid credit, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous modeling experience and Excel.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong team player, who can work independently and enjoys a dynamic fast paced environment.
