Job Description:

This is an internship with Global Transaction Banking (GTB).

  • The candidate will gain experience of live deal management, client relationship skills, operations and processes adopted by the team.
  • The intern will also acquire broad banking knowledge and have an excellent opportunity to experience day-to-day life with different teams, and to work together with an international team.

The intern will aim to gain a strong understanding of the following:

  • Exposure to a wide variety of Global Transaction Banking products which includes Trade Finance, Treasury Solutions and Export & Agency Finance ("EAF").
  • Active client management skills and opportunities to work on live transactions dealing with both Financial Institutions and Corporates.
  • Deal origination process in GTB products within the stipulated risk framework.
  • Effective distribution of transaction banking products to global and regional institutional clients.
  • The synergy between different desks within Global Markets in TDS, and how they complement GTB.
  • Assist in initiatives and projects, including research, follow-up with stakeholders, arranging meetings, and taking minutes.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Independent, organized, diligent with an eye for detail.
  • Positive learning attitude and acute business acumen.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Possess excellent time management skills and comfortable with managing multiple deliverables at a time.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • VBA knowledge is not required but preferred.
  • Be able to build progressive relationships with stakeholders globally.

Requirements:

  • Year 2 and Year 3 Undergraduates.
  • Ability to commit for a full time internship from January to July 2024
