Platform & Technology Business Operations Introduction:

Platform & Technology Business Operations helps our Platform & Technology partners to achieve operational and strategic excellence through the standardization and continuous improvement of its services in support of financial & performance management, portfolio & investment management, resource management and operational risk management through the support and evolution of shared business operations functions that support our colleagues, delivery teams and financial processes.

Job Description:

Within Platform & Technology, Delivery and Operations are a critical capability for TD as we invest and grow for the future to be the better bank. As we continue to build towards that future for the bank, our group will be leaders in advancing delivery practices; deliver strategic advice, reporting, analysis, and insights to our partners with a focus on outcomes; drive and measure continuous improvement and efficiency/productivity in our operations and across Platforms & Technology; lead the Platforms & Technology and Next Evolution of Work (NEW) Resource and Location and Tooling Strategies and its implementation.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Responsible for P&T Headcount and Resource Management related governance framework and practice to support tool functionality and process execution across Technology Business Operations and tool users.


  • Develop and evolve current Resource Management framework in support of existing and future team and organization constructs.


  • Provide direction and/or input to complex as a subject matter expert and where necessary participates in identifying, designing solutions and supporting the implementation.


  • Responsible for development of required reporting and data analysis in support of resource management tool and business processes.


  • Responsible for leading issue resolution and providing guidance & support to P&T.


  • Determine business needs, process and requirements to support delivery and business operations are fully documented and kept current.


  • Own Resource Management process and tool design to support strategies and outcomes in P&T.


  • Lead and manage regular and structured touchpoints with key partners and impacting LOBs to provide support and solicit feedback to improve current resource management solutions.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Extensive knowledge in business operations, resource management and financial management


  • Experienced in process optimization of business process and tools usage across stakeholders


  • Experienced in Clarity PPM and financial, project and resource functionalities


  • Experience in design, deploy solutions via automated workflows applications


  • Innovative thinker with continuous improvement mentality


  • Business acumen with the ability to distil complex information, develop business cases and effectively communicate ideas and recommendations


  • Great communication skills and ability to develop effective executive presentations


  • Strong relationship management skills with both internal and external vendors and partners


  • Solid balance between challenging the status quo and moderating change impact to the business


  • Ability to work effectively with multiple teams across a broad spectrum of initiatives and functional domains, influencing and aligning others as needed


  • Ability to lead and complete a variety of complex projects and initiatives requiring specialist knowledge and/or the integration of cross functional processes within own area of expertise


  • Flexible and adaptable to changing situations and environments


  • Knowledgeable in Agile delivery methodology and principles


  • People management experience

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience


  • Business Operations, Finance, accounting experience are an asset


  • 10+ years of related experience
