Job Description:
The Senior IT Operations Analyst provides a broad range of operational service / support which may include environment management, maintenance, monitoring, performance and incident management and/or production support activities to enable technology for own area of specialization.
Metrics & Performance Tracking:
• Measure, track, and publish product performance metrics and operational analytics to support application stability, resiliency, and service performance.
• Develop deployment performance reports, tracking key indicators such as success rates, failure trends, mean time to resolution (MTTR), and change impact analysis.
• Design and maintain real-time dashboards that provide visibility into incidents, outages, and key ITIL processes.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and alignment with business and IT objectives and Segment OKRS.
Data Visualization & Reporting:
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Power BI, ServiceNow, or Excel.
• Extract, transform, and analyze data from IT service management (ITSM) tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira), monitoring systems, and logs to identify trends and insights.
• Leverage ServiceNow Performance Analytics to create real-time reports for incident trends, SLA tracking, change management impact, and operational performance.
• Automate and optimize reporting workflows for efficiency and scalability.
Depth & Scope:
- Works independently in a senior/lead role on a diverse range of tasks and may be relied upon to coach/ educate others
- Acts as subject matter expert and consults with clients, team, and/or project team to provide technical guidance and highly complex troubleshooting/problem resolution
- Leads the support of highly complex and/or comprehensive applications/systems and/or business lines
- Identifies root causes and implements targeted and controlled remediation plans
- Supports the installation, configuration, upgrade of business applications/systems in co-ordination with appropriate stakeholders
- Reviews, participates and implements procedures
- Researches industry standards, best practices and new innovations in technology and makes recommendations
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or work experience equivalent to Bachelor's degree required
- 5+ years' experience required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in reporting, data visualization, or business intelligence, preferably in an IT Operations or Production Support environment.
- Proficiency in Power BI and ServiceNow Performance Analytics for designing and maintaining reports and dashboards.
- Strong knowledge of SQL for querying and data extraction.
