Business Context

This opportunity to lead the Europe and Asia Pacific Infrastructure Technology and Services (ITS) Project Management team has arisen following internal mobility and business growth within the region.

This role forms part of the European Technology Infrastructure Management team and can be based in either the UK or Ireland.

Position Summary

We are looking for a Europe and Asia Pacific (EAP) Technology Infrastructure Project Manager to lead a significant technology delivery function and hold accountability for driving transformational and strategic infrastructure initiatives for TD Securities in EAP.

You will liaise and influence across the organization and have significant exposure to and interaction with local and global business executives and functional stakeholders enterprise-wide.

This Assistant Vice President-level role will lead a team of four Project Managers/Business Analysts responsible for delivering change activities for core infrastructure (server, storage, network etc) as well as end user technology (desktop, AV etc)

Duties and Accountabilities:

• Project Planning and Execution:

o Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation

o Manage all phases of infrastructure projects, including design, procurement, construction, testing, and handover

• Stakeholder Management:

o Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, vendors, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals

o Act as the primary point of contact for project updates, risks, and progress reports

• Budget and Resource Management:

o Create and manage project budgets, maintain up-to-date financials in Clarity, ensure cost control and value delivery

o Identify and allocate resources efficiently to meet project deadlines and milestones

• Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

o Identify potential risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies

o Monitor and address project challenges to minimize disruptions

• Compliance and Quality Assurance:

o Ensure all projects comply with relevant regulations, standards, and safety protocols

o Oversee quality assurance processes to deliver high-standard infrastructure solutions

• Team Leadership

o Guide and mentor project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment

o Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback

o Ensure that the team is appropriately trained and developed

Job Requirements:

• Build effective relationships with key business partners within and across business units, and ensure the delivery of financial and customer benefits to business units

• Lead teams and collaborate with a diverse range of business leaders and stakeholders on why/how to reduce variation, make better decisions, and ultimately improve results

• Plan and lead teams in the execution and integrated implementation of transformational initiatives for infrastructure services

• Ensure ongoing prioritization of project initiatives, direct linkage to respective business unit key performance indicators, and achievement of process improvement savings

• Oversee the planning and execution of recommended solutions, and ensure they improve quality and eliminate waste. Lead the team to execute on recommendations

• Ensure effective communication between the team and key stakeholders and/or partners by adapting style and technique to a diverse audience, throughout the planning, execution and delivery of process improvement and/or transformation initiatives

Qualifications end Experience:

• Minimum of an undergraduate degree with a related major (business, operations, engineering/technical, mathematics) or relevant professional certifications, designations, or equivalent required e.g. PMP, Prince2

• 5+ years' experience minimum and 7+ years' strongly preferred

• Experience within the Financial Services industry preferred along with an appreciation of the capital markets business landscape

• Enterprise or functional expertise, which requires broad managerial and deep specialized knowledge at the business, regulatory and industry levels

• Confidence and ability to undertake and complete a variety of complex initiatives (may manage and prioritize multiple projects at a given time) that require seasoned specialist knowledge and/or the integration of cross-functional processes (focus may be on longer-range planning for functional area (e.g. 12 months or greater)

• Strength in working directly with senior and executive management.

• Ability to contribute to strategic direction of the function and provide advice to senior leadership locally and globally

• Ability to be the "voice" of the region at global forums and to ensure that regional business needs are understood and catered to

• Advanced ability to lead, plan, implement and evaluate program/project activities to ensure completion of initiatives

• Occasional travel may be required between European locations - London, Dublin and Belfast, potentially to other global offices
