Job Description:

The Compliance Data Enablement & Transformation (CDET) team supports the effective and sustainable implementation and execution of data enablement for Compliance reporting and oversight on data governance and data management of Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) processes feeding into the Enterprise RCM Framework. The RCM Framework sets out the structures, processes and key control elements through which Risk Owners and Oversight Functions globally are expected to manage and mitigate regulatory compliance risk inherent in their business or corporate segment activities.

Reporting to the Manager, Business Intelligence & Reporting, this role will provide specialized end-to-end data reporting and business intelligence support to Global Compliance in meeting our regulatory expectations, increasing efficiencies and mitigating compliance, data and operational risks.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Provide specialized end to end BI support, visualization / presentation, and solutions for a significant business functions and/or projects/initiatives.
  • Accountable for the development, adoption and ongoing evolution of a best-in-class reporting and/or BI capability and may deliver on ad-hoc projects as assigned.
  • Produce specialized reporting packages, dashboards and scorecards for businesses, with focus on understanding objectives and delivering insights for: (1) product design and development; (2) customer engagement; (3) account management; and (4) business decision making.
  • Conduct analysis to provide enhanced BI to inform management leadership team.
  • Create complex and comprehensive BI reporting packages and dashboards utilizing data infrastructure, localized DataMart's and external data sources and transform into visual stories using appropriate systems to support client objectives.
  • Identify and propose data presentations to meet evolving business's needs; utilize various technology/ applications/ methodologies to rapidly generate impactful visualizations.
  • Validate the quality and integrity of the data included in the Reporting Packages and Dashboards
  • Work with business partners to understand business objectives and develop value-added reporting and provide ad-hoc data extracts.
  • Adopt, implement and effectively evolve report automation and/or visualization standards.
  • May as a subject matter expert, to provide advisory or consultative services for supported colleagues and/or businesses regarding multi-format data visualization techniques.
  • Contribute to team development of skills and capabilities through mentorship of others, by sharing knowledge and experiences and leveraging best practices.
  • Independently implement complex data strategies, reporting, and analysis across multiple large data sources.
  • Lead, motivate and develop relationships with internal and external business partners / stakeholders to develop productive working relationships.

Job Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree or advanced technical degree preferred (e.g., math, physics, engineering, finance or computer science) Graduate's degree preferred with either progressive project work experience or
  • 3+ year of relevant experience; higher degree education and research tenure can be counted.
  • Strong experience using SQL, Python and related query languages.
  • Strong experience using Visualization tools like Tableau or PowerBI.
  • Experience with PowerApps, Power Platform (Apps and Automate) or Databricks is an asset.
  • Advanced knowledge of reporting and BI platforms, tools and techniques, and ability to effectively leverage it to support diverse reporting and BI functions.
  • Expert ability to code, debug and troubleshoot.
  • Experience in identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks.
  • Skilled in designing relational data models, incorporating industry standards in the design.
  • Experience with Agile delivery methodology, particularly Scrum or a derivation is an asset.
  • Proven ability to independently coordinate and complete complex enterprise data projects.
  • Strength in coaching and advising clients, partners and project teams.
