About this Role & Department
TD's Risk Shared Services Group (RSS) is seeking a Senior Business Insights Analyst to join their Data, Analytics and Reporting (DAR) team. This senior analyst will be instrumental in delivering analytic products to the risk management clients we serve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Desire and tenacity to learn new skills and adapt to new challenges that have a steep learning curve, and are a self-starter that pro-actively tackles problems
- Develop analytical solutions by analyzing/profiling/augmenting data, creating analytic and visualization specific data sets (ADS/ VDS), applying statistical methods, and communicating results through illustrative visualizations
- Deliver analytic Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) and iteratively enhance them through biweekly deliveries to an executive audience of AVPs and VPs
- Build an analytic product target state, roadmap that highlights activities & milestones, and deliver weekly status updates to internal leaders
Job Requirements
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in quantitative discipline such as management analytics, computer engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, economics
- 4 years relevant data and analytics experience
- Data - Experience with Python, SQL, and MS server data & tools are a must. Knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services including Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Azure SQL DB and Azure Synapse is considered a strong asset.
- Visualization - Experience creating analytic or visualization data models (ADS, VDS), utilizing data models to visualize analytic results in Tableau is a must. Some visualizations may mature into interactive Tableau dashboards for either operational or executive audiences.
- Modeling - Experience applying statistical methods/analysis to model risk scores and segment populations is valued (no NLP and image/spatial analysis being undertaken)
- Excel and PowerPoint - Knowledge of Excel ETL features such as Power Query considered an asset. Ability to draft storyboards and execute narratives in PPT common in advisory or consultancy roles is also valued
Successful candidates will be asked to complete a small case study over the period of a few days.
