Job Description:
Department Overview:
A PITT Senior Business Analyst will work with various business and technology partners, and when applicable, vendors, throughout the various project phases, including initiation, concept, analysis, development, testing and implementation. They will be called upon to lead, plan, manage, and oversee the end-to-end delivery of requirements throughout the lifecycle of the project or may support projects from a Quality Assurance standpoint leading the Test Planning and Test Execution in alignment with the business and/or enterprise needs and strategies.
As a Senior Business Analyst supporting the MS Power Apps Pod within PITT, the successful candidate will be expected to have a broad and comprehensive working knowledge of the TD Scaled Agile, Requirements Management Life Cycle (RMLC), Quality Assurance and Testing lifecycle as well as the Project Delivery Life Cycle (PDLC) methodologies and must have a comprehensive knowledge of MS Power Applications and MS Power Personal Productivity Tools.
Job Requirements:
This position requires strong leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills. The chosen candidate must be a mature individual who is able to work with minimal supervision, contribute to a positive work environment, and manage multiple assignments with competing priorities successfully.

- Ability to answer or research questions in reference to the work effort being led
- Ability to effectively facilitate meetings of any size including the documentation and issuance of meeting minutes. Apply analytical and problem-solving skills through a variety of analysis techniques to enable informed decision making
- Effectively communicate; (verbally and non-verbally). Generate an action, inform, create understanding and consensus or communicate a certain idea/point
- Effective business writing skills
- Knowledge of project management methodology, including both waterfall and agile practices.
- Knowledge of business analysis, project delivery practices and standards across the project life-cycle
- Experience in the BA role - in projects ranging from small to large scale
- Leads Requirements Management / work packages
- Probe, challenge and understand how requirements will address business needs
- Ability to create and maintain a Project Plan and IAD log when required
- Ability to identify and engage partner resources as necessary
- Ensure key project updates that include relevant and valuable information are provided as required in a timely manner.
- Sound knowledge of escalation processes and ensuring timely communication of issues to the appropriate channels
- Identifies and leads defect resolution for complex requirements related issues at all levels
- Knowledge of creating process flows, procedures and control points to meet Audit requirements
- Sound knowledge and experience with the Quality Assurance process
- Review test results; defect resolution and recommend sign off
- Build Test Plan, and Test Exit
- Test Execution and Defect Management
- Experience with leading the scoping process for deliverables and new in-plan initiatives
- Supports and may contribute to communication and change management activities
- Deep understanding of the CCA, BCCO, and Estates Operations is beneficial
