Job Description:

Are you an experienced financial industry professional and leader, excited to motivate a large team of high-performing Financial Planners to achieve the next level of their professional performance at TD Wealth? If so, then we have an exciting leadership role for you. As Regional Manager, Financial Planning, you will provide team and sales leadership by coaching to business development, providing an industry leading client experience and delivering the TD Wealth Financial Planning value proposition to mass affluent clients across Canada.

In addition:

  • Reporting into the Senior Regional Manager, you will lead a team of New and Growth Financial Planners across a large geography to build and develop skills to achieve team objectives for business development, the client experience, partner referrals and building an efficient practice;
  • Develop a culture of risk management and control by helping your team build efficient, scalable practices that are in line with best in class industry standards;
  • Provide mentorship, direction and motivation on both proven and entrepreneurial business practices in a challenging yet collaborative environment;
  • Perform comfortably in a matrix hierarchy, you provide strategic guidance to leadership on the management of the portfolio and financials, with deep industry and enterprise knowledge;
  • Execute a market plan to earn market share over the long term, while ensuring short term business objectives (business development, client experience, and risk) are achieved;
  • Increase the presence of the team through Social Media to build a pipeline of future candidates for the Financial Planner role and execute on the hiring plan for the region
  • Build and manage strong working relationships with One TD partners that contribute to the growth of the TD brand within your region

Job Requirements:

  • You bring a passion for the client experience and always look for ways to enhance our service offering and consistently delivery on our value proposition
  • You can lead your team through change, and continually challenge the status quo
  • Your passion for the client experience is matched by your passion for people development, working closely with financial planners to maximize their effectiveness and performance
  • You have a demonstrated ability to develop strong business relationships with new and traditional partners
  • You have proven yourself as a proactive business developer, with the ability to coach to outbound calls, developing centers of influence, and referral business;
  • Post-secondary education in a related discipline with 5 or more years of management and/or related industry experience
  • Must have one of the following completed: Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Designation or Personal Financial Planner (PFP) Designation, Personal Financial Planning Course (PFPC)
  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct & Practices Handbook (CPH) to be completed within 6 months of start date.
  • Investment Dealer Supervisors Course (IDSC) to be completed within 12 months of start date
  • Wealth Management Essentials (WME) to be completed within 30 months of start date
