Position Overview Statement
The trusted candidate will be someone that can build relationships, and provide leadership and direction, in partnership with business and executive stakeholders. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing key end-to-end deliverables in alignment with business strategies and/or regulatory needs by leveraging proven delivery methodologies.
Delivery Manager Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages projects with moderate to high regulatory oversight
- Ensure end-to-end delivery of projects with a Project Risk Class (PRC) of B-D with a financial Tier 2-4
- Work in close partnership with all project stakeholders to align plans, timelines, expectations and deliverables to meet project's objectives.
- Use negotiation and influencing skills to build consensus amongst diverse stakeholder groups to ensure project deliverables are met
- Ensure projects are delivered based on agreed scope, agreed timeline and approved budget
- Manage resolution of issues and risks effectively and if required ensures timely escalation of the issues and risks
- Communicates effectively project status communication to stakeholders
- Manage project financials, including monthly variance analysis, program benefits and on-going costs
- Create and maintain comprehensive project management artifacts in compliance with Change Delivery methodologies, in alignment with waterfall, rapid, TD Agile and Agile delivery practices.
- Considered as a subject matter expert on practices, procedures and principles of project management
- Manage initiatives through to completion including Planning, Execution, Control and Closure of initiatives.
- Exercise discretion in managing correspondence and information, escalating issues where appropriate
- Manage communications to: Program Delivery Leadership team, impacted stakeholders and Control Partners
- Coordinates with the respective enterprise control partners (e.g., EPDE, Strategic Sourcing Group, Legal, TRMIS, OCDO. etc.) to appropriately select, engage and manage external service providers as required
- Leads a large diverse business team to effectively deliver scope and quality in an initiative
- Manage initiatives through to completion including Planning, Execution, Control and Closure
- Part of a team working primarily on global change projects in the financial industry.
Qualifications / Skills / Experience:
- 5-7 years experience in a change delivery role as a Project Manager / Scrum Master.
- Outstanding record of project delivery success, preferably in Payment industry, Capital Markets and Regulatory or Technology related initiatives.
- Experience and strong subject matter expertise in Payments Technology, Data management, Compliance Technology - ideally with experience managing change projects in this space.
- Strong understanding of payment systems (Swift, ACH, Real-Time Payments) and familiarity with ISO 20022 standards, tokenization and payment data flows is preferred.
- Strong understanding or experience with data strategies, data governance, data mapping within an ecosystem. Technical Acumen with an understanding of APIs, microservices and system integrations.
- Experience working alongside data architects, engineers and product managers to deliver technology solutions.
- Ability to create and foster a cohesive team and promote a positive work environment for all employees.
- Very Strong working knowledge with project management tools, such as, Confluence, JIRA, Clarity and Tableau
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and attention to detail
- Demonstrates superior inter-personal skills, conflict resolution, and negotiating skills
- Pro-active in developing and implementing strategies that significantly mitigate risk
- Proven ability to lead organizational change management activities within a project
- Experience in a large complex / matrix organization
- Demonstrated ability to consistently apply expert judgment with available information when proposing solutions/recommendations
Specific Education Requirements
- University degree or equivalent
- Scrum Master Certified
- PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM or CSP designation preferred
