Job Description:

The Air Canada partnership with TD will ensure long term stability for existing Aeroplan customers and position's TD as the primary issuer of Aeroplan credit cards under their loyalty program. As a key partnership to drive continued growth for the Canadian Card Payments, Loyalty & Personal Lending (CCPL&PL) business, this program requires support for the overall P&L and product management for the consumer Aeroplan portfolio. The Product Manager, Aeroplan has the following accountabilities:

  • Champion development and implementation of programs, initiatives, capabilities, product enhancements and services to grow the Aeroplan program within Credit Cards and across the bank.
  • Own end-to-end accountability for these product portfolios' performance. Responsible for developing core strategies for these products.
  • Oversee and support delivery of annual plan and quarterly reforecasting for assigned products (i.e. Acquisition, KPIs, P&L).
  • Support with alignment of key Product stakeholders including Everyday Banking, Insurance etc. to identify and drive incremental revenue opportunities and drive topline growth.
  • Lead and provide support to the Aeroplan Relationship Management team in developing and implementing new products, partnerships, services, and projects including features, benefits and characteristics that meet customer needs in line with the Aeroplan Loyalty Program
  • Own end-to-end Aeroplan product specific collateral as it pertains to product line-up.
  • Ensure prompt and thorough resolution of complex customer issues and modify policies and processes to minimize further customer problems for area of accountability.
  • Oversee product governance and operational routines to achieve 'green' compliance results.
  • Act as source for innovation led through customer insights and creating a better customer experience across the Aeroplan product suite.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with distribution channels, key internal stakeholders and/or external partners to ensure that customer needs are considered in strategic decisions and in the development of options, solutions and alternatives.
  • Direct and coordinate market research to understand the changing competitive landscape and customer needs.
  • Support the day-to-day management of the product(s), providing business case support of recommendations for product enhancement and assisting in the strategic development of new initiatives.
  • Identify and manage risks (market, credit, operational) associated with the product / segment.
  • Provide thought leadership and/ or industry knowledge for own area of expertise and participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business unit.

Job Requirements

What can you bring to TD? Tell us about your most relevant experience, credentials, and knowledge for this role, as well as these essential requirements and attributes:

  • Undergraduate degree or product management certificate, and / or
  • Five (5) or more years relevant experience.
  • Previous product experience considered an asset.
  • Experience in leading strategy strongly recommended.
  • Knowledge of, and ability to conduct product research, product analysis and development, forecasting, pricing, competitive intelligence.
  • Knowledge of competitor and market trends.
  • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to lead, plan, implement and evaluate program/project activities to ensure completion of product initiatives.
  • Ability to forecast and contribute to strategic direction of the product management function and provide advice to senior leadership.
  • Skill in using analytical software tools, MS Office, data analysis methods and reporting techniques.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, communicate effectively (both speaking and writing), coach, mentor, provide direction and build relationships across teams and functions.
