Job Description:

The Manager Information Security manages / leads a team of Technology Controls / Information Security experts in the development and/ or management of relevant strategies, programs, tools, frameworks and policies and provides specialized oversight / control / governance activities for a key business line/segment or transformational (change the bank) strategic initiative / program, liaising across the organization and primarily interfacing with executive and/or functional stakeholders to minimize overall technology risks to the Bank for own area.

Depth & Scope:

  • Advanced knowledge of Bank, technology standards and managing people / projects
  • Leads a small team of IT professionals; coaches/ educates, monitors and manages team members
  • Strong communication, negotiation and organizational skills specifically including the ability to present options in business terms to both IT and business staff including executives

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Information security certification / accreditation an asset
  • 7+ years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on identity and access management.
  • Strong understanding of authentication protocols (e.g., OAuth, SAML, OpenID Connect).
  • Experience with authentication tools like ThreatMetrix, BioCatch, Document Verification Services etc. is a plus.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to identity and access management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Stay Updated on Cybersecurity Trends: Continuously monitor the evolving landscape of cyber threats, fraud schemes, and industry best practices. Manage Authentication Tools: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of authentication tools and processes to ensure secure access to systems and data. Policy Lifecycle Management: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive cybersecurity policies and procedures. Vendor Collaboration and Oversight: Collaborate with vendors to ensure compliance with security standards and conduct regular security assessments. Handle Audit and Regulatory Requests: Respond to audits and regulatory inquiries, providing necessary documentation and evidence. Documentation and Reporting: Create clear and concise documentation for security policies, procedures, and incident response plans. Data Analysis: Utilize Excel and PowerPoint to analyze data, identify trends, and generate insightful reports. Effective Communication: Communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences, both internally and externally. Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks through regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing. Incident Response: Participate in incident response activities, including investigation, containment, and remediation.
