Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of data analysts, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
- Data Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Data Governance: Establish and maintain data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
- Advanced Data Analysis: Conduct complex data analyses, including statistical modeling, machine learning, and predictive analytics.
- Data Visualization: Create compelling data visualizations using tools like Tableau to communicate insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines to automate data ingestion, transformation, and loading processes.
- Business Partnership: Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs, identify opportunities, and translate them into actionable insights.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve complex data-related issues, providing innovative solutions.
- Talent Development: Recruit, hire, and develop a high-performing team of data analysts.
- Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science and analytics, and identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in data science and analytics, with a proven track record of leading data teams.
- Strong proficiency in Python, R, SQL and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks) and big data technologies (Scala, PySpark).
- Knowledge on data architecture and monitoring tools like Splunk and Datadog
- Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms and techniques.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise business terms.
- Bonus points for experience dealing with fraud/authentication/transactional data.
