About ESG Solutions

The ESG Solutions group at TD Securities provides ESG advisory and sustainable finance solutions to TD Securities' global client base. As TD Securities' central point of contact on integrating ESG across the business, ESG Solutions works alongside our product partner groups (e.g., DCM, ECM, Derivatives, Leveraged Finance) to deliver holistic client solutions and thought leadership.

Your Winter with ESG Solutions

The ESG Solutions group at TD Securities is hiring for a Summer Analyst position in Toronto. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing team with high visibility within both TD Securities and TD Bank Group. The position will provide an opportunity to gain experience in how Environmental, Social, and Governance ("ESG") factors impact clients in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

How You Will Contribute

  • Support TD Securities' ESG Solutions group, the investment bank's ESG subject matter experts, in pitching and advising TD Securities' clients globally.
  • Coordinate with various groups across TD Securities - Investment Banking, Debt Capital Markets, Sales & Trading, and Research - as well as the broader TD Bank Group - Risk, Environment, and Treasury.
  • Establish a deep knowledge base of Environmental, Social, and Governance factors and stay up to date on the latest global trends and developments.
  • Work with Bankers and Originators to recognize ESG risks, analyze existing initiatives, and identify opportunities for collaboration.
  • Review corporate sustainability reports, ESG research, and publicly available information to identify businesses' strengths and areas of improvement.
  • Act as a Sustainability Advisor for clients looking to issue green, social, sustainable, and sustainability-linked financial products.
  • Assist in ESG due diligence for equity and M&A transactions.
  • Responsible for putting together monthly ESG publications, presentations for meetings, and maintaining database of sustainable capital markets transactions.

Qualifications

  • Graduation date between December 2025 to Spring/Summer 2026 (undergraduate degree)
  • All majors welcome, but significant coursework in a business-related field is required
  • Demonstrated interest in ESG
  • Strong financial/analytical skills, knowledge of MS Excel preferred
  • Well-organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and establish priorities with minimal supervision
  • Proactive and highly motivated
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Successful candidates must have the capacity to become adept at financial modeling
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment and independently
