We're on the lookout for a talented individual to join our Canadian Real Estate Investment Banking team as an Investment Banking Analyst based in Toronto. Job Description

Your Career as an Investment Banking Analyst, Real Estate
You'll work under the direction of a senior officer and with other experienced professionals on the Real Estate Investment Banking team, helping to generate ideas, advise clients and execute transactions.

How You Will Contribute

• Research and analyze clients' financial situations, industry and market data, and mergers and acquisition opportunities.
• Develop financial and valuation models of individual private and public companies as well as merged entities.
• Apply valuation tools to assess opportunities.
• Value private and public companies.
• Assist with client negotiations and documentation.
• Prepare external client proposals and internal underwriting memos.
• Prepare client presentations and marketing materials; research and analyze industry and market data

Job Requirements

Must-Have

• Undergraduate degree with a demonstrated interest in finance and real estate
• Have a combination of strong financial/analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong problem solving skills
• Strong Excel skills, adept at financial modeling and valuation.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Applicant should be proactive, highly motivated, well-organized, detail oriented and able to work under pressure and tight deadlines

Nice-To-Have

• Prior investment banking analyst experience
• Prior real estate experience
• CA and/or CFA designation considered a strong asset.
