Job Description:

Depth & Scope:

  • Provides people management leadership of 300 FTE by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as required
  • Manages and motivates people by creating an environment conducive to the development and retention of diverse and high performing talent
  • Delivers operational strategy previously defined in partnership with Head of Home Lending Operations across all areas of responsibility
  • Drives disciplined understanding and management of key operational metrics, ensuring strong regulatory control, effective expense management and an obsessed customer experience
  • Keeps abreast of and implement process automation tools to manage direct cost to fulfill, efficiency and quality.
  • Serves as an advocate for both the Home Lending Home Equity strategy and broader AMCB short-, medium- and long-term goals ensuring understanding of those across teams managed
  • Builds and maintains effective working relationships with investors, regulators, and vendors to drive a strong home equity lending operation focused on low friction for customers
  • Drives a culture of disciplined home equity fulfillment delivery with a focus on regulatory compliance along with process efficiency
  • Enhances and publishes reporting used to manage end to end operations. Leads and manages daily workflow in an effort to meet the department, regulatory and investor SLAs
  • Clearly defines linkage between policies, regulations with procedures and work instructions
  • Understands how to develop KPIs and level into leading and lagging indicators specific to RESL Fulfillment & Servicing
  • Works closely with other areas of TD Bank AMCB Residential Lending Product, Risk, Home Equity, Default management & servicing to maintain proper quality control, consistent customer experience and awareness of enterprise initiatives
  • Works closely with the QC, QA, Audit, Loan Review teams to ensure control reviews are inclusive, system and process enhancements and utilization are implemented consistently
  • Solves problems with the full lending customer in mind (understands implications of decisions to sales, home equity and product partners)
  • Leverages the broad AMCB operational capabilities to drive improvement in the home equity fulfillment business

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • 10+ years of related experience
  • Full understanding of the residential real estate lending businesses
  • Strong communicator who can articulate the facts of a problem and corresponding solutions
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with varying degrees of complexity and time commitment
  • Strong organizational, research, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Track record of process assessment and improvement with focus on removing waste and driving control
  • Experience developing short, medium, and long term strategies with defined outcomes and measurable milestones
  • Strong background in operations management routines i.e., monthly business reviews, quarterly business reviews, management off-sites
  • Key skills in manager and staff development, delegation, and controls
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to provide professional support and present a positive image of the Department and Bank
  • Regular travel to out of state locations, key regulatory engagements, and industry conferences
