As part of Analytics, Insights and Artificial Intelligence's (AI2) Personalization and Intelligent Decisioning Centres of Excellence, the Test & Learn CoE specializes in designing and implementing statistical experimental designs for analytical solutions and developing scaled capabilities and training for use across TD.

Are you someone who is interested in an environment where they can make an immediate impact and identify opportunities for improvements across the entire analytics solution lifecycle?

We are looking for a data scientist experienced in designing and implementing experimental design such as a/b/n testing to optimize models in production and other analytics solutions. The candidate will be expected to quickly understand the business context and analytics solution and be able to create and implement an optimization roadmap, identifying and advising on KPIs and business opportunities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and perform statistical analysis comparing test and control groups using techniques such as T-Test, ANOVA, Time-series, and Causal Impact modelling.
  • The candidate will be proficient with sampling methodologies, creating comparable test and control groups
  • Proactively contribute to development of a Test & Learn tool and strategy
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to devise testing strategies and attribution modelling
  • Independently design experimental test and learn, while identifying and advising on the right KPIs
  • Perform statistical analysis comparing test and control groups using techniques such as T-Test, ANOVA, non-parametric tests, time-series attribution, Difference-in-Difference, Causal Impact modelling, and attribution modelling framework
  • Perform SQL data queries and support data sets for analysis/modelling, including cleaning data and feature engineering
  • Analyze large data sets and identify trends and insights to inform business decisions; communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Support team members and business partners to develop, test and deploy analytics solutions, for example: forecasting, optimization, or pricing models
  • Proactively identify business problems and opportunities where a data-driven solution would be appropriate and develop proposals/approaches
  • Collaborate with business partners to support the business case development process for analytics solutions

What we're looking for:

  • 3+ years of experience in experimental design such as a/b/n testing or in a similar role focused on optimization/attribution of analytics solutions
  • Self-motivated and proactive in influencing stakeholders to ensure objective testing
  • Strong background in statistics, especially designing and implementing tests
  • Proficient with Python, SQL, Tableau
  • Nice to have: Alteryx, Azure Cloud
  • Familiarity with building, deploying and managing machine learning models and ad-hoc analytics solutions would be an asset
