Department Overview

The PITT Crew is a passionate team of technically savvy subject matter experts that reside under Operations Performance & Modernization, CPB Operations. We support the ideation, development, deployment and governance of new tools, processes and workflows that support many teams within CPB Operations. We embrace agile methodologies, allowing us to deploy new tools quickly and efficiently that exceeds the expectation of our business partners and ultimately enhance customer experience.

Job Description

This successful candidate for this full-time position will be joining PITT's leadership team as an individual contributor reporting to the Senior Manager, Operations Performance & Modernization. This position will be accountable for delivery of high priority automation initiatives to enhance Estates business within Operations collaborating closely with Savings & Investing Journey (SIJ) & Platforms. The accountabilities of this role will be very similar to a Product Owner role in a journey.

Customer:

  • Continuously align with senior management on the Estates roadmap, defined Minimum Marketable Features and release cadence
  • Participate in necessary agile ceremonies (e.g. stand-ups, retrospectives), express new ideas for improving estates processes to reduce customer irritants
  • Create a value-focused backlog and continuously refine/advocate
  • Manage delivery initiatives and manage large stakeholder management
  • Proactively raise issues that impede the efficient delivery

Employee/team:

  • Support with identifying high level requirements and ensure project is delivered effectively on time
  • Empowered to make project delivery decisions, escalating to senior management as appropriate
  • Business case the estimated financial impact of projects, initiatives
  • Communicate difficult concepts; convert information to compelling business stories with context and advice. Influence and gain alignment across increasingly senior stakeholders
  • Cross-communication between Platform, Journey, Operations, and external partners to create an environment with seamless collaboration
  • Provide thought leadership and/or industry knowledge, and participate in knowledge transfer where applicable
  • Keep current on emerging trends/ developments and grow knowledge of the business, related tools and technology
  • Participate fully as a member of the team, support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork. Ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interest
  • Participate in personal performance management and development activities, including cross training within own team
  • Act as a brand ambassador for your team. Keep others informed and up-to-date about the status / progress of projects and / or all relevant or useful information related to day-to-day activities.
  • Lead, motivate and develop relationships with internal and external business partners / stakeholders to develop productive working relationships.

Stakeholder:

  • Navigate executive audience on regular basis to obtain alignment/direction as required
  • Proactively understand and incorporate feedback from stakeholders into the backlog with prioritization. Stakeholders include (but not limited to) business, platform, and Operations
  • Compile performance metrics and share with relevant stakeholders
  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite
  • Work autonomously as the lead and guide others within area of expertise
  • Hold others accountable and drive projects forward

Job Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree and / or product certificate
  • 7+ years strong delivery/project management experience - complex projects
  • 3+ years Product Owner experience
  • Strong stakeholder management- ability to impact and influence
  • Independent and ability to navigate ambiguity
  • Strategic thinking and execution with speed
  • Experience in Agile delivery and technology project experience is considered an asset
  • Experience in operating in a journey or a platform is considered an asset
  • Experience with cross-functional relationships considered an asset
  • Experience in frequent interaction with the executives considered an asset
