Job Description:
The Business Line Financial Manager II leads development and supporting the achievement of financial objectives for assigned business line(s). The job reports on financial results, providing interpretation through in-depth understanding of the business. The Business Line Financial Manager II provides forecasts and financial plans to drive business results, strategy and decisions.
The US Capital Management team is seeking a technical writing manager to create and/or maintain model and non-model documentation as part of TD's enhanced requirements. A successful candidate will have the ability write and edit technical documents such as model document reports, non-model documentation, guidelines, and presentation material. Additionally, the candidate must have the ability to work independently with good time and project management skills. This position provides exposure to a diverse group of Finance partners from across the TD organization including those within the Lines of Business, Finance, and Treasury.
Department Overview:
US Capital Management is responsible for reporting the Bank's current and projected capital position, US regulatory stress testing, and Canadian stress testing. The team uses models, non-models, and calculators to determine the Bank's monthly risk weighted assets under US and Canadian rules, regulatory capital under US capital rules, and stress testing. The US CMG team is also responsible for determining the Bank's capital actions (dividends, etc.), maintaining capital policies and procedures, regulatory compliance, and various ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
Depth & Scope:
- Gathers and reports on financial results vs. plans on an ongoing basis, providing evaluation and interpretation through an in-depth understanding of the business
- Leads development and supports the achievement of financial objectives for assigned business line(s)
- Develops and maintains strong business relationships with business line management
- Provides leadership, coaching, counseling and guidance to staff
- Develops, assigns and monitors plans to ensure completion of goals and objectives
- Resolves escalated issues and problems by conferring with staff, other internal departments, outside contractors and others as necessary
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Economics or Master's degree in Finance
- 7+ years' experience required
