Job Description:

The Payments Business Analyst III on the US Payments Delivery team is responsible for developing new Payments innovations as well as building enhancements across existing Payments products and capabilities, like Bill Pay, Zelle®, Account to Account transfers and Digital wallet and provisioning capabilities. This Business Analyst role supports the Payments Product Owners in managing the product backlogs for prioritized features, creates and refines requirements, collaborates with the Agile scrum teams on translating requirements and ensuring that it all ladders up to the product vision and strategic objectives of the Payments business. This role entails aligning with other Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Payments leadership to maintain a prioritized product backlog, manage delivery blockers and continuously assess customer and marketplace feedback to inform backlog priorities. This Business Analyst role also supports launch/ release readiness to get Payments products and features stood up in the relevant channels and operational processes and on an ongoing basis, compiles product performance metrics to share across the Payments team and relevant stakeholders and helps champion strategies to enhance the product infrastructure and experience in partnership with the broader team.

Depth & Scope:

  • Works independently but receives assistance/coaching from more senior levels
  • Coaches other team members, as appropriate, within area of expertise
  • Identifies, develops, and maintains key linkages with business partners including the retail product management, retail distribution, commercial banking, support services and North American business partners such as TD Wealth Management, TD Ameritrade and TD Insurance
  • Helps senior management by giving insightful and pro-active reporting and analysis and various corporate and business line initiatives
  • Works with line of business team members/ resource
  • Resolves issues and problems by conferring with staff, management, other internal departments, outside contacts as necessary
  • Works cross-functionally as required to drive strategic initiatives and improve processes
  • Adds financial value to company by analyzing company data to identify and recommend initiatives that positively and materially impact the financial results of the company

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree or progressive work experience in addition to experience below
  • 3+ Years of related experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision making skills
  • Exceptional active listening skills
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines while simultaneously working on multiple projects

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior Product Owner support or Agile-related delivery experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of the Payments space or money movement features such as digital wallets or P2P, B2B, C2B payment capabilities
  • Experience building Consumer or Commercial products is a plus
  • Self-starter who can work independently and has a natural curiosity for how innovations work
