Job Summary:

The AVP, Technology for CRM, Investment Banking, Global Strategy, and Equity Research will be responsible for defining and executing the technology strategy that supports the firm's CRM, investment banking, macro strategy, and equity research functions. This role will oversee technology innovation, infrastructure, and application development to enhance efficiency, data analytics, and digital transformation. The AVP will work closely with senior stakeholders, ensuring that technology solutions align with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and emerging industry trends. The AVP directly manages a global technology team to ensure talent needs and capabilities are developed to support long term goals for TDS's Equity Research and Global Strategy, Investment Banking, and Global Markets organizations. The AVP will lead transformative technology initiatives in a dynamic and high-impact financial environment and will work with top-tier investment banking professionals and drive innovation in research and deal execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure technology delivery to support client coverage and revenue generation across private- and public-side businesses to enable achievement of Vision '27 revenue goals across the dealer. Enable coverage teams to act in concert to execute on opportunities and maximize the return on invested capital and efforts.
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a technology roadmap to drive digital transformation in investment banking and equity research.
  • Technology Innovation: Identify and implement cutting-edge technologies to enhance data-driven decision-making, automation, and workflow optimization. Stay informed of the latest innovations and best practices in the market related to investment banking, sales & trading, equity research and macroeconomic strategy analysis.
  • Application Development & Integration: Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of applications supporting deal execution, financial modeling, and research distribution.
  • Data & Analytics: Drive initiatives to enhance data management, analytics, and AI-driven insights for investment banking and research teams. Provide thought leadership on emerging technology and product trends including machine learning and AI.
  • Cybersecurity & Compliance: Ensure technology platforms adhere to industry regulations, cybersecurity best practices, and internal risk policies. Identify , manage, and mitigate risks to ensure stable and secure platform at all times.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Partner with senior business leaders, technology teams, and external vendors to deliver scalable, innovative solutions. Ensure technology strategy is in alignment with business strategy.
  • Operational Excellence: Optimize IT infrastructure and cloud strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support rapid business growth. Seek ways to optimize costs while maintaining solutions scalable to support business growth.
  • Talent & Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing technology team, fostering innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 15+ years of technology leadership experience within investment banking, equity research, or financial services.
  • Deep understanding of capital markets, M&A, ECM, DCM, and equity research workflows.
  • Proven track record of implementing enterprise-level technology solutions in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
  • Expertise in AI, data science, cloud computing, and digital transformation strategies.
  • Strong communication, leadership, stakeholder management, and strategic visioning skills.
  • Experience working with regulatory bodies and ensuring compliance with financial industry standards.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
