Job Description:
As an Audit Manager II on the Change Delivery Audit team, you would be expected to in-charge complex audits over significant Projects and Change initiatives impacting Segments across the Bank (including changes to technology applications, business/system requirements and data). This position provides the opportunity to collaborate with Audit team members across the Division and also provides exposure to Audit and Business Executives. You're already well-seasoned for delivering audit analysis and risk assessment, standard reporting and operational support to teams. You're coming to the table fully knowledgeable about the financial industry landscape and current market trends, and, here at TD, you'd be putting those skills and insight into action.
Job Responsibilities:
- Act as an in-charge on audits to provide subject matter expertise for planning, risk assessment and execution of audits and related processes with a high degree of complexity
- Has overall responsibility for completion of audits. Plans and leads audits and oversees staff working on multiple audits, forming conclusions, communicating scope/findings to business line.
- Evaluates internal and external risks for assigned business lines and/or functions utilizing their subject matter expertise.
- Performs testing of critical areas of audit. Performs review of audit documentation. Oversees findings follow up and issue validation.
- Ensures audits are executed and completed in accordance with established standards and within prescribed time, budget and scope parameters to ensure deadlines are met
- Oversees a small to medium sized team assigned to a given audit and provide coaching and feedback on performance throughout the audit
- Acts as primary contact with management regarding audit scope, findings and overall status
Job Requirements:
- 8+ years related experience required
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
- Strong project management skills required
- Expertise in PC skills (MS Office Suite) and windows applications, in using software tools, data analysis and reporting techniques
- Manage a team of professional resources, and actively develop, recruit, train, coach and conduct performance assessments for team members
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively in both oral and written form required
- Risked based decision making, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills required
- Advanced functional audit knowledge and skills; Advanced analytical skills required
- Advanced skills in building and maintaining relationships within, and external to, audit
- A strong team leader who can negotiate and influence key partners including employees
- Deep knowledge of specialist auditing and integration of cross functional processes to undertake and complete a variety of audit projects and initiatives
Preferred skills:
- Industry certifications preferred (CIA, PMP, CISA)
- Banking or Financial industry experience preferred
- Technology audit experience preferred
- Advanced knowledge of business processes and operations, risk, change and project methodologies, organizational practices and business transformation
- Experience working in technology/security operations
- Experience in planning and leading audits that cover Project delivery, IT General Controls, IT Application Controls, Systems Development Lifecycle, IT governance processes, IT Risk Management assessment processes
- Advanced awareness of laws and regulations governing the banking industry that impact assigned area preferred
