Job Description:

Summary:

The Global Brand Management team is responsible for evolving, educating, and protecting the TD Brand; driving the identity, naming and third party risk strategies for TD, it's sub-brands and partnerships; ultimately being the stewards and educators for the brand at a Global and North American level. The Global Brand Management team supports various lines of business and channels with varying levels of involvement and Brand governance support.

Job Description:

The Associate Manager reports to the Senior Group Manager, Global Brand Management. The main function of the Associate Manager is to play a key role in governing the Brand Identity and support the imbedding of the brand across the enterprise. This will be achieved through various digital tools, direct education and providing Brand oversight of the Visual, Verbal and Sonic Identities. The Associate Manager will work closely with internal Marketing and Business partners as well as external agencies and vendors to ensure consistent application of the brand through all tactics and channels. This role requires strategic and creative expertise to ensure the spirit of the brand is applied in line with key Business objectives. This role ensures that the TD Brand is protected and delivered through internal and external communications.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to managing the Brand Queries Inbox, hosting and conducting creative review sessions and supporting with content and user experience on the internal brand hub webpage (Brand Corner). The Associate Manager will support other members of the Global Brand Management team to provide general support and co-ordination for a variety of projects and programs.

Focuses On:

  • Provide day-to-day management of Brand Queries inbox including triage, response, escalation and tracking within a timely manner
  • Educate and reinforce brand standards with creative services partners and business units to ensure creative adheres to Visual, Verbal and Sonic Identities
  • Provide updates to Brand Corner, inclusive of content and technology. Assist with account management, notifications, and front-end updates.
  • Brand Corner education and training
  • Provide reporting and recommendations for our brand tools incl. Brand Queries and Brand Corner
  • Lead one-off project execution with low-mid brand impact; Develop project briefs and execute assigned tasks within prescribed timelines and budget
  • Provide project status and timely escalation of issues to ensure project objectives are met. Communicate changes and provide status updates
  • Follow established budget processes for estimates and accruals. Manage project budgets, billing and reporting.
  • Develop strong working relationships and maintain open dialogue with marketing partners, business units and external suppliers.
  • Support external agency partners as a liaison for Global Brand Management. Facilitate agency touchpoints internally and externally to drive increased brand awareness.
  • Contribute to a positive working environment.
  • Database intake tracking and filing for Naming and Third Party Risk Assessments.
  • Produce and deliver Brand newsletters, leveraging the latest brand updates.

Education/Accreditations:

  • BA/BS in Communications or Marketing

Other Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

  • The ideal candidate must have 2-3 years Brand experience; agency and/or financial services is an asset.
  • A passion and understanding of Branding Strategy and Design with a strong eye for details.
  • Professional experience using Brand Guidelines and Standards and a strong understanding on how they're applied.
  • Strong organisational skills with the proven ability to be an effective team contributor/player. Ability to work independently and kep partners informed.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects and proactively identify and address opportunities.
  • Strong "detail" orientation, and working style that emphasizes a commitment to accuracy an ensuring quality control.
  • Proven ability to manage projects to successful completion.
  • Ability to work comfortably in an environment where flexibility is required to respond to new or changing priorities while meeting deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on creating PowerPoint presentations, Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills.
