Department Overview:
TD Asset Based Lending (TDABL) is the asset based lending division within Commercial National Accounts (CNA) within the Commercial Bank. This dynamic, growing group provides dedicated relationship coverage to asset-based clients across the country with annual revenues generally ranging from $30 million to $2 billion and typical credit requirements in excess of $25,000,000. Credit relationships are complex and are comprised of both bilateral and syndicated transactions. The group consists of senior asset-based lending and commercial banking professionals who combine specific industry knowledge and extensive deal structuring experience to offer a full suite of customized credit and cash management solutions to meet the complex needs of our clients.
Job Description:
The Associate Director provides dedicated credit management support to a Director in the TDABL group. The Associate Director reports to a Director, Credit Execution (DCE) within the TDABL group. Key accountabilities include:
- Preparing credit applications and recommending credit decisions.
- Performing due diligence on assigned accounts and addressing identified trends.
- Reviewing and recommending changes relating to field exams, appraisals and third-party reports.
- Contributing to growth of the portfolio by structuring competitive packages while maintaining credit quality and pro-actively looking to expand client relationships.
- Actively managing monitoring and control processes for the portfolio to ensure the necessary processes are completed in a timely manner.
- Negotiating custom loan documentation in partnership with counsel (or with other Lenders in syndicated transactions)
- Developing industry policies with the Director and providing syndication expertise.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
- 3-5 years experience in Commercial Banking and preferably Asset Based Lending, in particular with complex credit structures.
- Very solid credit, analytical and problem-solving skills with financial modeling experience.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Commitment to being a strong team player, with an ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines.
- The ability to engage in active dialogue with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to travel as required.
Specific Educational Requirements/Accreditations:
- An undergraduate or graduate degree in Business, Economics, Finance or other quantitative discipline.

Le (la) Directeur (rice) Associé(e ) fournit un soutien dédié à la gestion du crédit à un Directeur du groupe de Financement d'actifs TD. Le (la) Directeur (rice) Associé(e ) relève d'un Directeur, Exécution du Crédit. Les principales responsabilités comprennent :
• Préparer les demandes de crédit et recommander des décisions de crédit.
• Compléter la diligence raisonnable sur les comptes attribués et adresser les tendances identifiées.
• Examiner et recommander des changements relatifs aux audits sur le terrain, aux évaluations d'inventaires et aux rapports de tiers.
• Contribuer à la croissance du portefeuille en structurant des offres compétitives tout en maintenant la qualité du crédit et en cherchant de manière proactive à élargir les relations avec les clients.
• Gérer de manière proactive la surveillance et le contrôle du portefeuille afin d'assurer l'achèvement des processus en temps requis .
• Négocier des documents de prêt personnalisés en partenariat avec un conseiller juridique (ou avec d'autres prêteurs dans le cadre de transactions syndiquées).
• Élaborer des politiques de marché avec le directeur et fournir une expertise en matière de syndication.
Exigences du poste :
Qualifications/Compétences/Expérience :
• 3 à 5 ans d'expérience dans la banque commerciale et de préférence dans les prêts sur actifs, en particulier avec des structures de crédit complexes.
• Très solides compétences en matière de crédit, d'analyse et de résolution de problèmes avec une expérience en modélisation financière.
• Excellentes compétences en communication et en organisation.
• Engagement à être un bon joueur d'équipe, avec une capacité à travailler de manière indépendante tout en priorisant les délais.
• La capacité d'engager un dialogue actif avec les parties prenantes internes et externes.
• Capacité à voyager selon les besoins.
Exigences éducatives/accréditations spécifiques :
• Un diplôme de premier cycle ou d'études supérieures en commerce, économie, finance ou autre discipline quantitative.
