Job Description:

The Business Management Analyst III will report into the Manager, Business Resilience, BMG

In this role, responsibilities include:

  • Independently perform tasks from end to end; reports to a Senior /Manager role on programs with functional diversity and complexity where activities involve multiple step transactions, systems and jurisdictions may be involved, volumes and complexity medium to high, frequency weekly, monthly, adhoc as it related to programs such as:
  • Analytics, reporting monitoring, documentation and maintain key procedures related to Return to Office, Business Management Application Support, Health & Safety of our Colleagues, Real Estate and operations.
  • Expert knowledge of the business and operational functions supported as asset
  • Support teams with multiple points of internal and external contact
  • Implement operational and continuous improvements to business processes to maximize efficiencies and scale/grow capabilities and teams to meet business needs and demands
  • As required lead or support relevant meetings to related deliverables / outcomes representing on business management processes and operational issues
  • Identification of business controls and remediation requirements
  • Drive required action/remediation plans to address business management gaps, findings, priorities or issues
  • Support role of lead partner to internal business partners, recognizing and anticipating emerging trends, identifying issues/opportunities and recommending action to senior management
  • Forecast and prioritize scope of accountabilities while influencing and aligning others as needed to ensure business functions, priorities and objectives are met
  • Ensure an integrated and aggregated view of all related activities across the overall function providing escalations, recommendations, and decision support to leadership
  • Provide functional / business level communications to ensure messages to stakeholders and/or employees are consistent, appropriate, and aligned to business strategies and executive management direction
  • Support and promote a strong risk culture by identifying opportunities to strengthen and improve processes and controls and ensuring the business operate within the Bank's risk appetite
  • Assist with escalations for resolution and provides direction to resolve issues or escalate
  • Involve regular contact with cross functional teams across global teams or external contacts

Job Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree
  • 3-5 years relevant experience; building and assessing project delivery, preferably in an operations, governance or shared services related role.
  • Organization knowledge, able to navigate the bank related to operational business management and ability to connect-the-dots to engage the right partners
  • Proven ability to support, assimilate and understand diverse information and breaking them down into manageable parts in a systematic manner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including writing concise business messages, documents, creating impactful presentations, procedures, and presenting analysis to management and senior executives.
  • Track record of strong time management and organizational skills to meet tight deadlines, as well as flexibility to adapt to competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and exceed expectations with minimal supervision.
  • Independent thinker with exceptional analytical skills and strong business acumen.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to recognize and react to discrepancies and anomalies.
  • Proactive and highly motivated with superior work ethics.
  • Demonstrated networking and partnering abilities - ability to work effectively with diverse groups to identify issues and reach consensus.
  • Process improvement or change management experience is an asset
  • Demonstrated skills in assessing and prioritizing based on business impact, need and risk factors
  • Proven ability to make assessment, decisions and judgement calls in often ambiguous situations or circumstances
  • Proven ability to work with and build relationships with stakeholders
  • Strong influencing skills
