As a Vice President, Forward Planning working for Taylor Morrison you will manage the Forward Planning Team through the engineering, entitlement process and portions of the due diligence timeline processes needed to supply the Division with timely approved lots ready for land development. You will work collaboratively with all functional peers as a member of the Division Leadership Team.
We trust that as a Vice President, Forward Planning: (responsibilities)
- Oversee all forward planning activities for the division
- Drive communication with the other Land leaders to ensure collaboration on all projects in the pipeline and under development
- Assist in all due diligence activities for new acquisitions
- Responsible for preparing applicable sections of all division investment committee applications for new acquisitions per company procedure
- Work effectively and efficiently with the Land Planners, Engineers, and Consultants to ensure land entitlements are completed on time and at or under budget
- Prepare project timeline schedules in coordination with the development team.
- Supervise forward planning team to drive completion of projects in a timely manner
- Assist in creation of land development budgets and cash flows.
- Establish network of colleagues, consultants and municipal contacts that will assist in achieving entitlement goals.
- Keep abreast of local market land transactions
- In collaboration with Division Leadership team, create and execute the annual strategic plan
- Perform other duties as assigned

You might be just who we're looking for if you have
- Concise writing skills are required for presentations to land investment committee
- Bachelor's degree in business, Planning or Civil Engineering or related field or meet the minimum requirement for number of years of direct experience
- Ten years' experience in land entitlements/development (with a production builder preferred)
- Established track record for managing multiple direct reports
- Demonstrated success in the home building industry, preferred
- Computer literacy
- Ability to anticipate possible obstacles and propose favorable solutions
- Strong work ethic and commitment to implementation and execution
- Public speaking/presentation skills necessary for entitlements processing
