As a Director, Analytics & Mortgage Operations - Financial Services, working for Financial Services, will provide comprehensive IT leadership to our mortgage and title company in support of their business goals. You will partner with the Financial Services VP of IT, mortgage and title company leadership and Taylor Morrison IT staff to develop strategy, to create plans and to execute initiatives consistent with overall company objectives and local mortgage and title company requirements. You will be responsible for conducting IT activities consistent with SOX compliance, control, and reporting requirements. The role will lead, mentor, and develop the existing IT team and manage operating obligations such as headcount, budgets, and forecasts for the group. This role requires self-motivation and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. You may perform a variety of complicated tasks with potential conflicting objectives and are expected to be able to use a wide degree of creativity, influence, negotiation, and collaboration skills in pursuit of results.

What You'll Do

  • Manage and oversee Power Business Intelligence Analytics and Mortgage Operations, while serving as a backup leader for IT Support and Escrow/Title Operations
  • Partner with the Financial Services VP of IT, Corporate IT Staff and Financial Services Leadership to develop the strategic direction and to create business cases for IT investments in support of mortgage and title company business objectives that are consistent with Taylor Morrison IT Strategy
  • Lead IT support team and life cycle management including but not limited to existing suite of loan origination, title operations, accounting, and reporting applications
  • Lead both operational and organizational development for the department
    • Operational duties encompass overseeing headcount, budgets, forecasts, program delivery, and negotiating contracts with key providers
    • Organizational responsibilities include managing staffing, setting goals, handling performance management, facilitating training, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) to monitor and evaluate team performance
  • Partner across mortgage company functions and throughout layers of the organization to resolve ambiguity, prioritize activities and gain consensus to achieve results
  • Build business acumen by analyzing market trends and leveraging your insights to effectively engage and collaborate with the company's leadership team
  • Partner with the Project Management Office to identify gaps, establish priorities, test scenarios, document processes, and oversee implementation & deployment
  • Oversee the utilization of existing company infrastructure to ensure optimal system performance and reliability, while also providing end-user help desk support for Financial Services team members
  • Collaborate with Corporate IT staff to find synergies and to leverage existing applications, tools and processes that can integrate with the builder and add value to Financial Services
  • Partner leadership to create strategies and plans to identify gaps, resolve concerns and implement improvements in support of Financial Services objectives
  • Complete life cycle management of identified improvement projects
  • Monitor compliance to IT related regulatory requirements imposed on mortgage and title company operations
  • Operate consistently in conformance to Taylor Morrison Code of Conduct, Taylor Morrison IT Policy Manual and within the guidelines of SOX requirements
  • Assist others in the event director has unique skills and abilities that can contribute to broader Taylor Morrison activities and/or projects
  • Perform other duties as assigned

You might be just who we're looking for if you have

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field is a plus, but not required

• Five (5) to Seven (7) years of experience in IT management or leadership roles required

• Experience with LoanVision, SoftPro, Encompass, PowerBI, Jira and Halo systems is a plus

• Knowledge of real estate financing and/or similar relevant business is a plus

• Experience leading and managing a team of IT professionals

• Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams to implement and manage change

• Ability to partner with remote technical team and local business leadership

• Experience working in publicly owned company and/or industries with SOX compliance program

• Results oriented - relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

• An ability to collaborate, influence and creatively negotiate with clients and colleagues is expected

• Self-motivated individual with ability to work independently and take initiative to achieve results

• Ability to create strong working relationships with others

• Detail-oriented and be able to multi-task

• Possess a positive attitude, be flexible in fast-paced environment, be a team player, leader, and be willing to constructively contribute to the department and overall company growth strategy

• Ability to provide positive and constructive feedback to team members

• Maintain confidentiality of company and customer's information

• Proficient in using communication tools such as phone and computer, including Microsoft Suite

• Ability to manage key timeframes and strict deadlines

• Deliver outstanding customer service through clear verbal and written communication, collaborating effectively with both internal and external customers

• Strong communication skills - written, verbal, and listening

FLSA Status: Exempt

Will have responsibilities such as:
