As an Architectural Coordinator working for Taylor Morrison, you will be responsible for the coordination of plan library maintenance and plan management and revision processes, permitting processes, and management of lot specifics as needed (including models), in order to provide accurate field execution for all plans built by Taylor Morrison.
We trust that as an Architectural Coordinator you will: (responsibilities)
- Produce and maintain accurate option catalog for all plans built by Taylor Morrison
- Coordinate communication and work product between Architects, Engineers and related source consultants, such as cabinetry vendors, and marketing material vendors.
- Maintain plans in BuidPro, Sharepoint, and/or similar, controlling the release of new plans and updated plans via the plan change request process to our vendors, builders and sales, marketing, and any and all relevant parties.
- Coordinate work and relationships with outsource consultants, including conducting meetings at regular intervals to discuss open projects.
- Coordinate priorities and schedules w/Architectural Manager, ensuring all projects are completed in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with corporate Sales & Marketing leadership in regard to model plans for new communities, including but not limited to model specific drawings, sales office designs, model pre-constriction meetings, and model walks at multiple stages of construction.
- Participate in new product development, including but not limited to reviewing new plans for consistency, accuracy, and competences of all consultant plans and engineering.
- Participate in product development with internal customers, outside consultants, and municipalities, including the review of design and construction drawings.
- Facilitate prototype walks on all new plants built. Report any corrections to the division through plan revision processes.
- Develop and maintain strong positive relationships with municipalizes and work for timely approval of all design review and constriction drawing approvals.
- Commission and review marketing content in relation to both new product and revision to existing product in the product library, primarily relating to interactive floor plan and renderings.
- Commission and review cabinet layouts in relation to both new product and revisions to existing product.
- Commission and review content for the design studio, in relation to both new product and revision to existing product.
- Provide support to builders in field examinations, to ensure accurate execution of current plans and materials.
- Ensure builders utilize plan change request process; track and facilitate any request through to implementation.
- Field questions/ concerns from other departments as needed and discusses w/ Architectural Manager and/or division leadership as needed.
- Participate and contribute to value engineering process.
- Research new products and assist Purchasing in determining products to be used; research products as needed.
- Considers all Architectural Services process on an on-going bases to determine best practices. Work diligently with other company departments to improve, or develop new, process that affect/interact with Architecture. Make recommendation for improved department efficiency. Implement new best practices though out the department.
- Identify and communicate any issues with plans and layouts to Purchasing. Coordinate with purchasing to determine best practices for corrections and revisions, be at via the plan change request process or otherwise.
- Conduct yourself in a professional manner and project a professional appearance in the office and at company functions as a representative of Taylor Morrison.
- Interface with IT department on special projects as needed.
- Travel as needed

About you:
- College Degree (Bachelors) - Prefer Construction Science, Architecture or Engineering
- Experience in On Screen Takeoff Software, AutoCAD, Timberline Microsoft Outlook, and Excel preferred
- Residential Construction or Design experience preferred
- Understanding of estimating process, home design, architecture, pricing, building cost and takeoff procedures
- Effective communication skills
- Goal oriented with ability to demonstrate positive results
- Experience working with outsource consultants preferred.

Will have responsibilities such as:
