The Appraisal Specialist II will be responsible for the managing a network of Real Estate Appraisers, workflow management, and limited-scope review of residential real estate appraisals.

• Have an understanding of Residential Real Estate Appraisals, USPAP, and Appraisal Independence Requirements.
• Ability to communicate regularly with appraisers and other departments by phone, email, and face-to-face.
• Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer and/or electronic device.
• Responsible for working as a team to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
• Provide constructive feedback to improve performance.
• Cross-Train on other duties when directed by the manager.

• Perform limited-scope appraisal reviews single family new construction residential real estate.
• Correspond with appraisers to address issues or discrepancies on appraisals raised by the line of business regarding specific appraisals, general appraisal practices, investor requirements and/or appraisal policies.
• Ensure compliance with Appraisal Independence Requirements and other applicable regulations throughout the appraisal process.
• Stay up to date on market trends and conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned

You might be just who we're looking for if you have
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required, Bachelors preferred
• 3+ years of general work experience required, experience in mortgage/banking/valuations preferred
• 1+ year of experience in real estate, mortgage/banking, and/or valuations required
• Supervisory, Management, Logistics, Scheduling, Human Resources, Recruiting or similar experience preferred
• Understanding of banking preferred
• Attention to detail
• USPAP Knowledge preferred
• Experience reviewing appraisals preferred
• Interpersonal skills with the ability to develop working relations with associates at a positive level
• Computer skill required including working knowledge of electronic mail, word processing, and spreadsheets
• Experience with CRM or similar system preferred (Salesforce, Encompass, ValuTrac, etc.)
• Able to follow written and oral instructions
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong customer service skills
• Able to work in a fast paced working environment and work overtime when needed
• Possess a positive attitude, be flexible in fast-paced environment, be a team player, leader and be willing to constructively contribute to the department
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
This position is considered a non-exempt position for purposes of wage-hour law, which means that you will be required to keep a time record and will be eligible for overtime pay.
