Summary of Job Purpose:
The Director of Sales Performance Management is responsible for driving all aspects of performance management for field sales roles. He/She will work under the leadership of the Sr. Director of Sales Operations to design, develop, and operationalize all routines and tools required to drive effective performance management. They will execute all field sales compensation changes and oversee the performance of new and steady state business processes to ensure effectiveness and ability to deliver desired results. This position will coordinate alignment across stakeholders (Corporate and Field sales leadership, HR, Finance and Revenue Management) and will design metrics, routines, and supporting tools to ensure the right activities and behaviors are measured, and have the ability to correlate those behaviors to financial results.

Duties and Responsibilities:
This individual will be responsible for the end to end design, modeling and communication of performance management processes for all sales pay programs in the field. This will include, but not be limited to:
- Lead team of analytical resources to design performance management routines for field sales functions, along with enabling technologies
- Leverage analytical resources to identify insights on improvement opportunities in execution of sales pay programs
- Ensure we have the right process and activities in place to drive desired financial results
- Leverage deep understanding of field operations and KPIs to develop sales performance targets and programs that can be successfully executed in the field, complete with reporting to provide field visibility in to results
- Manage the performance through pay for field sales role compensation programs, including but not limited to annual level change process, development of bonus criteria, and the creation and implementation of any supporting tools to drive behaviors that grow market share
- Work cross functionally with senior executives and learning to drive alignment, accountability, and adherence to performance management routines
- Develop annual recommendations on strategic business objectives (SBOs) for Field sales roles
- Link performance management routines and sales pay to annual goal planning and quarterly review processes
- Lead a regular performance management cadence with both field and corporate teams to ensure progress against goals
- Work closely with Sales Technology Enablement and Learning and Development teams to develop communication, training, and deployment plans to execute performance management routines
- Work closely with Business Technology team to create analytics and reporting capabilities to enable performance management routines
- Contribute to the achievement of financial and non-financial goals and objectives set forth by leadership

- Possesses a deep understanding of the field sales roles and has a demonstrated capability for strategy, process engineering, enabling technologies, change management and measurement
- Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations
- Able to drive accountability among key stakeholders with diverse needs and interests
- Thinks and acts proactively rather than reactively and directs resources and stakeholders accordingly
- Able to lead and manage a team with diverse knowledge, skills and abilities forward to achieve common goals and objectives
Required Minimum Education:
- 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Management, Marketing, Finance, Accounting or related preferred
Required Minimum Experience:
- 10+ years of progressive experience working in a project, results-driven role or sales management, with at least 5 years of specific experience in a Revenue Management, Sales Operations, or Finance leadership role within a leading organization
- 5+ years working in foodservice distribution required, with demonstrated understanding in the areas of merchandising, finance, sales, marketing, and field execution
- Experience in sales operations initiatives and deployments

Work Environment:
- This position may be located at the headquarters facility in Houston Texas but could be conducted remotely as needed
