Symetra has an exciting opportunity to join our service team as an Agency Associate Operations Representative!

About the role

The Associate Operations Representative will gain a broad range of knowledge in Contracts & Licensing and/or Commissions, providing support to distribution partners for tasks such as agent appointment, agent adds or changes, commission inquiries, as well as all other related production work. The Agency Associate Operations Representative must accurately review, process, and answer agent related requests and inquiries. This position requires strong customer service skills.

  • Serve as direct point of contact for Agents, Internal Wholesalers, Sales Center, Distribution Partners, Legal, Compliance, and Accounting regarding inquiries related to appointments, agent of record changes, and commission related work or inquiries. This includes promptly responding to routine telephone or e-mail inquiries, as well as making outbound follow-up communications, to obtain all requirements.
  • Follow-up in a timely manner, on all work items, where outstanding requirements still exist. •Develop and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external customers, providing excellent customer service via phone, email, and in person.

Business Transaction Processing:

  • Process less complex Distribution Partners' appointments, agent change requests, commission inquiries, and status requests, resulting in accurate and timely commission payments within state regulations and internal procedures
  • Review and analyze work-item data entry to determine if item is in good order.
  • Review item for completeness and once IGO, process according to procedure.
  • Begin to develop a working knowledge of the products and services offered by Symetra, leading to correct interpretation and application of contractual terms and obligations.

Administrative:

  • May be assigned to train co-workers on any team responsibility.
  • May be assigned to write or revise procedures according to department standards. •May do some system testing.
  • May perform a variety of administrative activities such as reviewing recurring reports and taking appropriate follow-up action, as well as other duties as assigned.

Compensation

Hourly Salary Range: $21. - $ 28.24 plus eligibility for annual bonus program
