Sutherland is looking for a talented Associate Manager, Coding Quality Auditor to support one of our US medical coding programs! If you have the leadership and communication skills required for this role we want to hear from you!
Associate Managers (Coding Quality Auditor) in this role get to:
- Keep Sutherland aligned: Research and apply appropriate Federal, State and Sutherland's regulatory, and coding guidelines to audits; maintain audit work papers and ensure recommended corrective actions are timely, practical and relevant.
- Establish solid communication: Identify and communicate with relevant internal and external resources as required to perform audit.
- Support the team: Provide support for external compliance audits and coordinate with external resources.
- Ensure compliance: Coordinate and / or perform coding compliance audits while promoting best practices and solutions.

Qualifications
Our most successful candidates will have:
- Preferably 2+ years of Coding Quality Auditor experience involving professional and/or facility workflows. (candidates that possess both will be preferred)
- Ideal candidate will hold 1 or more of the following active certifications: CCS, CCS-P, CPC, CPMA
- Project leadership experience will be a major plus
- Must be able to effectively communicate feedback/constructive criticism to relevant cross-functional teams
- Ideal candidate will have experience working with 3M Encoder and utilizing multiple EMRs such as Epic or Cerner. Must be able to easily adapt to new platforms as required
- Must be a self-starter but also have ability to follow instruction/take direction as necessary
- Flexible availability, ideally between the hours of 6AM-6PM local time
- Must be open to working outside of normal scheduled shift to address urgent client issues if/when they arise.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Be pro-active in developing trust and professional rapport with team members, clients & other members of leadership
- Strong analytical skills; be able to interpret data, identify trends and make suggestions for improvements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; be able to communicate in a clear, constructive and professional manner
