Latam Channel & Alliance Marketing Manager

Job Description

SUSE is currently looking for an experienced, innovative channel marketing manager to support channel & alliance partners in Latam ( with the exception of Mexico ). In this role you are responsible for driving campaigns WITH and THRU channel & alliance partners, as resellers, distributors, Cloud Service Providers (CSPs), SAP and Independent Hardware Vendors (IHVs) marketing. You will develop and execute integrated marketing plans designed to meet or exceed the agreed marketing contribution to global marketing KPIs and agreed partner performance indicators.

Working closely together - in a fast paced and rapidly growing market - with the regional Field Marketing Managers, the relevant partner managers, members of the Latam Marketing team, Global Partner Program Marketing and other relevant stakeholders, the Channel & Alliance Marketing Manager reports into the Head of Latam Marketing.

Responsibilities:
  • Engage routinely with the Channel & Alliance Sales team in Latam to support the achievement of his sales goals.
  • Work with channel & alliance partners to drive marketing campaigns to help build pipeline focusing on net new business, contributing to agreed objectives within the partner business plans; build and execute tactical channel programs that meet strategic objectives and financial considerations.
  • Drive maximum effect of partner & alliance communications and marketing programs.
  • Actively measure outcome of campaigns (metrics such as # of inquiries, MQLs, partner accepted and registered opportunities, wins) and ability to provide reports to demonstrate pipeline contributions.
  • Ensure the marketing budget is managed and allocated effectively to maximize ROI.
  • Drive set up and participate in quarterly meetings with core channel & alliance partners to build strong relationships and drive interactions about future campaign and program plans.
  • Drive brand consistency through partner campaigns and ensure correct usage of brand assets and corporate messaging.
  • Actively seek and create joint customer / partner & alliance success stories to showcase best practices and to demonstrate strong partner relationships;
  • Contribute by providing input and requirements for future campaigns and infrastructure improvements.
  • Actively take part in relevant Latam and global projects to enhance partner marketing and the partner experience.
Requirements
  • Excellent understanding of IT channels environment
  • Strong interpersonal communicative skills and persuasiveness; ability to influence at all levels, internally and externally.
  • Ability to operate independently in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision
  • Team player with proven track record in working effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive, results- and quality focused with passion and attitude; this is a can-do role.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, and detail oriented.
  • Excellent understanding of partner programs and -structures, and channel marketing.
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Fluency and/or Advanced business English
  • Conversational Spanish a plus
Experience
  • Extensive B2B marketing experience, with 5+ years in channel marketing for a high-technology company.
  • Channel marketing experience and a proven track record of rolling out successful THRU and WITH partner marketing programs appropriately customized and targeted to a wide range of channel targets.
  • Experience driving marketing campaigns (high volume), from start to finish with clear view on outcome and follow-up.
  • Proven track record in working effectively with cross-functional and international teams, including the sales organization, operations, and finance.
  • Self-starter with ability to hit deadlines, work independently, multi-task while working on competing priorities.
  • Solid decision making/critical thinking, organizational, planning and problem-solving skills with an entrepreneurial spirit and passion for data-driven success are a must.
