AI Technical Lead
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced AI Technical Lead to join our team working on SUSE's AI acceleration. As the AI Technical Lead, you will be responsible for leading technically and providing direction for our AI solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features, and mentor the organization engineers and architects around AI.
Focus Areas:
- Perform the technical leadership for AI at SUSE. Provide technical development guidance, coaching and mentoring across the organization.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers and AI leadership to identify and prioritize project requirements
- Develop and maintain the needed solutions.
- Mentor other engineers, provide code reviews, PoCs and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, and collaborate with QA teams to ensure thorough testing
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve our AI solution
- 8+ years of experience in back-end software development with a focus on scalability, performance, and reliability
- Strong expertise in one or more programming languages: Python, C++ and others.
- Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker), orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes), and cloud computing (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Knowledge of database systems, including relational and NoSQL databases
- Experience deploying private AI solutions, including experience with data privacy and security
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex technical issues
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Expertise in SUSE Linux and open-source technologies
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools, such as CI/CD pipelines and Agile project management
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworks, such as GDPR and HIPAA
